F2P Gearing Up Guides!

Greetings! Are you working on your new free-to-play character and are not sure what gear you should be going after? The following guides are to help you get your new F2P character geared up for battlegrounds and other shenanigans as quickly as possible.



Please note that this is not a list of what is absolutely best-in-slot. Random world drops and bind-on-account items are deliberately absent. The purpose of this list is to get you 95% of the way there. Most of the items in this list will end up being BiS (best in slot) for you forever, and many will be BiS for you for a long, long, time. So don't hold out on getting those shoulders because you're expecting to get BoA shoulders down the road... these will help you get there!



Another note: This has been opened up to be a community effort. Some of this comes from my own hours of research, and some of it comes from the many great minds in the community who have researched their classes as well. Doubtlessly there will be disagreements on details in here, and that is okay... Please just keep in mind the spirit of this thread: this is to help people get up to speed quickly. If you want to help someone beyond the information in this thread, please make friends with them.



And finally, you don't have to wait until you are level 20 to start working on your gear! Start at level 15, when the random dungeon finder opens up for you. You will level up and gear up at the same time!

I thought I made it pretty clear that this was under construction. You could help contribute to the effort, I asked for help. It takes a LOT of time to create all this information, and I threw up what I already had with intention of editing it. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear.

If you wanted you could just about use my mage as a BiS chardev, just need the 8 stam cloak, sunderseer mantel, firebelcher, and resil trinket
