I'm starting this to raise interest in something [MENTION=14218]Lil[/MENTION] was rather successful in (from what I could tell) on the EU side.

[MENTION=19743]Groenboompje[/MENTION] has raised the idea of a sign-up for specific dates over the summer and possibly later on as well, where these little events (mounts, achievements, whatever people are interested in) will take place. Although I will be hosting this event, I'm still gonna ask if other people have any feedback to that.

Small FAQ:

How long will it take to get the mounts?
Anywhere from 2 to 6 hours for the grind only. The more people, the faster the grind.

Which server is this taking place on?
No specific server yet. Completely open to discussion. If you know of a quiet server without interruptions, let me know. Noted servers: Magtheridon-EU.

How many people do you already have, that are up for this?
At least 2 that are totally up for it, 1 that needs a bit of convincing and another 1 that needs my puppy eyes. Continuing to grow. Already at 5+ people.

How does this work, faction-wise?
Preferably, alliance and horde should have the same amount of people, although having 1 off wouldn't hurt, it just makes the grind faster for the opposite faction.

Can I get more than 1 mount?
Yes, but you have to put in the same work for each mount you want.

When will this take place?
Depends on the time people can log on and stay online. Most probably on one of the weekends in the summer throughout an evening (and possibly night).
Noted dates are: Anything > 7/7 (Gel), 30/6 or anything past ~26/7 (Crystalpall), 'early July' (Thor)

There was a bug in 5.1 when Blizzard opened up Italian(EU) and Brazilian(US) realms, the 'New Players'-tagged of those realms was glitched so we could make DKs on them, which unlocked the 'Must have at least 1 level 55 character to make DKs' restriction, allowing people to create DKs on any realm they wished.
Those DKs were still fully limited by f2p restrictions (10g cap, 100 in any major profession, no AH, no mail etc), but we could do everything else, including getting mounts and pets, queueing for dungeons etc. They were also restricted in the way, that once you logged out of your DK, you were locked out of playing it, meaning that if you dc'd, your progress on that DK was gone. Till now, Blizzard has only fixed the initial creation glitch, so if you didn't make a DK in the period you could on those Italian/Brazilian realms, you won't be able to, now, but if you did, you can still create, log onto and play your DKs as usual.

Yes it is. You may find people on US interested, but I doubt it. If you are interested to participate on the EU-side, let me know.

[MENTION=15433]Björke[/MENTION] we can just make this a 'GET SOME ACHIEVEMENTS, MOUNTS OR WHATEVER ON YOUR F2P DKS'-event as well :) Edit: my personal main focus will still be the mounts, although I'm willing to help with anything I can. Might also bring more people to join if we 'offer' different 'rewards'.

I can play on the weekends also, but probably would have to make short breaks cuz my parents dont like me play all the time
 
Ok, my question would then be, how long you can play in one sitting. I'm fairly certain you know how long it takes to finish the DK starting zone, then get to the meeting point and the grinding itself.

My record on beating the zone is 50 min, average if people are determined it is 1h 10 min for ally / 1h 15 min for horde (sorry, nelf is superior), quick notes are: Frost, cinderglacier and nelf are must-have, or human if we are grinding rep
 
Just to warn those this grind will be incredibly slow if you are trading kills one for one. I would guess around 10 hours just for the honor grind portion, assuming everything goes smoothly. If you want to complete this in a reasonable time you will need to find P2Ps willing to feed you honor for a couple hours. Good luck!

As long as there are no objections or further date suggestions, >7/7 is noted.
 
It's impossible to farm 2k honor in 2 hours regardless of how many people you have. You are realistically looking at 6-8 hours if no one DC's (which is very unlikely) and everyone who signs up shows up. About an hour is going to be spent just getting out of the DK starting zone.
