Played a bit of PTR to test things, removed some mounts from my original list above, added a few more.

Sadly this is the only Darkshore mount we will be able to get, Darkshore does not scale down so we can't kill the rares for mounts.
This one is just from finding a rare scared kodo running around.
Also, we can't even get phased inside the Arathi Highlands Warfront.

Also, this concludes my PTR testing, I've now checked all the rares that drop mounts, and even if I didn't loot the mount they all scaled down.

Hey everyone! This is my first post here, so let me first say THANK YOU to @Conzil for the Website and this thread. Has been really helpful!

I have a question about getting Duskwing Ohuna. I wanted to figure this out myself, but now I have a level 10 monk sitting on 1000xDreamsurge Coalescence he can't do anything with...

What I did is this:
  • XP-lock a monk at level 9.
  • Get the quest Canyon Romp in Redridge, which can be turned in anywhere.
  • Farm 1000xDreamsurge Coalescence.
  • Activate XP again and go to the event vendor at Ruby Life Pools.
  • Turn in the quest, ding level 10 and immediately click on the vendor and...somehow fail to buy the mount, as the npc slowly despawns.
I tested this beforehand with another char and one of the pets that costs 250. I leveled up and bought the pet before the vendor despawned. It was close, but no problem. So I don't know what went wrong with the mount. Was I just too slow? Did you guys use a macro to buy it quicker or is there another way entirely?

I would assume that it was just too slow, if pet worked.

Back when I bought it there was no phasing, it was added a bit later, there are macros to buy items from vendors.

I think it’s something like:
/run BuyMerchantItem(Slot Number, Amount)

So if you wanna buy one of the item in the number 4 slot it would be:

/run BuyMerchantItem(4, 1)

There might also be a confirmation window when using the macro, not 100% sure.
 
Hey! Great website, saved me a ton of time. I have a question about mounts that you can farm solo at lvl 20, but you can't use it due to lvl requirement being higher.
I like to sub once in a while and I think it would be good idea to farm some lvl restricted mounts on f2p, then resub, lvl up and use them, that way i would not waste sub time for tedious mounts. But are there any?
For example:
Wowhead says that https://www.wowhead.com/item=44168/reins-of-the-time-lost-proto-drake requires lvl 27 to use, but does the https://www.wowhead.com/npc=32491/time-lost-proto-drake scale down with lorewalking? Or is it impossible without high lvl player help?
Same question with https://www.wowhead.com/npc=50062/aeonaxx
Or maybe there are lvl restricted rep-farm mounts, where you can farm rep, but you can't buy the mount due to lvl restriction? If someone knows any of such cases, I would be thankful.

Both of those are possible at 20, I even have them in my bank on my f2p
There are tons of those mounts, but I never saw any reason to go after them right now, so I havnt written them down anywhere.
