Poparms
Legend
so i just started playing in the 10-14 unlocked bracket and honestly its pretty fun
Hastily @ Aerie Peak - Community - World of Warcraft
the bracket mainly consist of either people in all white gear or people in all heirloom gear and bis enchants
I wanted to start a discussion and sorta theory craft some builds and best levels atm
some things found out
+plan your gear out ahead of time with wowhead and calculate xp from quest
+using a second account makes everything a heck of a lot easier( you get less xp from mob kills and you level slower a huge bonus)
+dont do starter quest because they give too much xp ( start getting professions from the start)
+bling-a-tron is your best friend that allows you to get money for professions at an early level
+IF STAYING LEVEL 10 CRAFT YOUR OWN GEAR
+if you need to level your professions but you are level 10/ dont want to level get on your second account and make your twink follow u but dont invite to a party this makes sure the twink doesnt gain exp
+some classes probably will benefit from going 14 more than others( mages gain polymorph and arcane barrage)
+heirloom shamans- hunters- and rogues will be the hardest classes to beat
+ you have to afk out of a bg when your team is about to cap( worst part about this bracket)
+ secondary stats are extremely valuable (lifeblood is really good)
+interrupts are extremely valuable because there aren't a lot of them
+ queues are almost same time as f2p
+ p2ps in this bracket are a pretty bad at the game( usually takes people 10 minutes to even get close to capping flag)
+more specs are viable
+There are 2 quests in Ghostlands that give awesome rewards. DO THEM on Lvl 9.-crystalpall
Fishing gives no exp (LFH, DPR, The one ring)
You can be boosted in dungeons, just need to be dead-crystalpall
Dailies in DMF are exp-free -crystalpall
Goblins get cool items but need help or have to kill the lowest level mobs to get out at 10-crystalpall Gulbon
some things i want to test
- how viable enh and fury and warlock specs are( suspecting destro warlock will be amazing because of conflagrate
- if going to 14 on every class is the best option( a lot more quest and ragefire blues)
-if its possible to get heirlooms through DMF
- if horde or ally is better for certain classes ( Conspirator'sSlippers for horde mages and House Wrynn Claymore for ally warriors and ret paladins)
CLASSES IVE SEEN( not tested just observed)
shaman
shamans are extremely strong in this bracket with their 3x crit damage and their ability to cast their skills on the move(they crit for like 250-300(heirloom)). They also have heals but lack cc. never seen enh shaman in bg. (new) ele shams are hard for melee classes to deal with because of the lack of gap closers and the fact that ele shams get thunderstorm
hunter
yall know the drill except in this bracket bm seems to be the strongest with their ability to kill command for burst and let their pet do most of the damage( pets are really strong)
mage
really good cc with polymorph at 14, frost nova , frostfire bolt, frost mage pet freeze, they also get blink which is a god send because almost no one has mobility, arcane mage also does pretty good damage routinely hitting for 250-300(f2p) arcane barrage crits
rogue
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL heirloom rogues have the ability to one/two shot people sub 1k hp doesnt matter which spec really. im speculating assassination will be best with their ability to have mutilate and eviscerate
warrior
havent seen many of them but prot warriors are extremely strong with 300 damage shield slams havent seen (new) arms warrior hits the hardest but both specs work, mortal strike hits for around 150 non crit and bloodthirst hits for like 90 but it has double crit chance.
warlocks
havent really seen them fear unlocked at lvl 14
druids
also kinda strange havent seen that many of them(most of them are resto and are actually able to be taken down by 2 people which isnt bad) balance druid seems like a really strong class however with lifeblood and troll beserking and the ability to get leather and cloth crit gear
priest
really good in this bracket i would say better than resto druids. most people play disc so I haven't really seen and shadow or holy priest
the only bad thing about the bracket is the fact that it will probably lead to farm fest for one side( jk cuz a p2p heirloom+ enchant hunter can solo a whole team)
f2p lvl 10 twinks
