Extreme Haste Huntard?

Gulbon

Legend
  • Hey all, I have been working on a new SIDE project (side project because I know alot of you dislike hunters, and I dislike them if they are commonly used), which basically is a haste/damage hunter to the extreme, mainly focusing on haste. Now, I was wondering if this chardev is viable.

    chardev 9

If there are any other haste items that I can find on either faction, can you please tell me? ^_^

    Thanks!

Also, would you guys prefer me to go Alli or Horde (Alli is my main faction, though, and I find it hard to get gold on Horde).

Go for a Goblin and have someone help you get out of the zone, you get the 3agility bracers with more armor then Bard's Bracers. And like Texx said, the 1% haste. If a class gets to you, rocket boots. I think that Goblins would be the most viable and versatile class. If you want to go for insane haste every three minutes, go for a troll. And the critical strike rating is nice yes, but the Leather helm has the same critical strike rating, more armor, and besides. You'd look very weird in a group with cloth and Intellect, the leather one having Agility and hit. The hit would be more beneficial then the haste in my honest opinion, do you want to cast fast but have a severe chance to miss? Or cast maybe a 0.1% slower and have a higher chance to hit with the spell.

Overall, I'd go with the Stained Shadowcraft Hood, and either Goblin or troll for races.

Edit: I also think that yes, the Agility and Haste combination is very popular and overpowered, but that's the main way that Hunter's enchant, on mine I used 15agility to gloves and 20 haste to weapon. Also, being in MoP you're going to take a brick to the head from losing your 53% haste to your weapon. So yea I don't honestly think that going full haste is any way beneficial then cast times.

Also, I'd go for the stained shadowcraft chestpiece for the hit aswell. Losing three haste, really isn't that game-breaking.

Atm your toon is not viable for PVE or PVP. Lose a bit of haste for some resil/crit.

Also Troll racial - Regen and Berserking are far better than 1% haste and Rocket Jump / Barrage.

In my resil set I roll around 1000 health with no buffs - 28% resil - 80% crit. So it's like having 1280 health - along with some racial regeneration in there - so maybe 1400 by the time you kill me.

You toon is under 700 health - no resilience and only 53% crit. Keep in mind that your pet's crit is also reflective of your crit. So kill commands for 200+ are pretty sweet. You would last less than 5 seconds - vs 10 to 15 seconds.

Even if you had some Charged Crystal focus to heal - that would mean a 1400 health pool to pull from - vs the toon with "1400" health, agm, Charged crystal focus ( 3800 health pool).

I know this. The point of this character I may be making is to test how much haste I can get, rather than anything else. I may get other armor sets, but the main reason for this post wasn't for a serious, dedicated 10 hunter, but a test with haste and how deadly it can be. :p

Meaningless post. If your not starting horde then you could pick up the Hand of Argus Crossfire.

    Meaningless post. .

    Agreed.

Edit: You said you dislike Hunters if they're commonly used. This is twinking, so get used to it. Also, making one is just adding onto the population of them.

God forbid someone speak to fellow peers over a public forum asking for a serious opinion. o_O .

    ^

Difference between meaningless and asking about something. Here, you people are giving me advice on how to gear a hunter, when I am simply asking about haste hunters, and then some of you are saying, "Meaningless."

How is asking for opinions about gearing haste hunters meaningless, or relate to gearing the AVERAGE hunter?

Also, Nyz, I said this was a Side-project. Most would assume I wouldn't be as active or as dedicated as the true hunter 10 twink, so no, I am not contributing to the population of hunters if I plan on not using this character nearly as much as most people. Well, technically, I am, but not as much as the active "AMG EVERY BG/ARENA" hunters.

So, if you're not contributing to the population of hunters, what are you then? A druid? My initial point remains, you're still a hunter and that's final. I never said or pointed out that you are going to be a hardcore player.
