Execptional mana chest ftw?!

So I'm a pretty well geared moonkin and I use the +14 stam on chest, but i notice many druids (the ones listed on sticky) use +250 mana. I just want to know why some druids; who seem to know how to gear otherwise, are going with +250 mana?? I spam hots ALL THE TIME in bgs and I NEVER run out of mana (its pretty much impossible). Is there some hidden gain behind 250 mana such as int or spellpower?

... cmon guys, you say you've played mw. You should know they don't gain the 400% increase to mana pool passive. Because the CLASS doesn't have a base mana pool. Therefor, you don't gain "double" your mana with 188+mana to chest

yes to 800, then the double mana chest puts it up passed 1400, i also said "IIRC" after monk because i wasnt sure if it did. cmon man... whats 400%x 0?.

the base resource for a monk is energy, this is why they don't have a +% mana pool since there simply is no need.

Albino was correct, everyone else needs to actually roll a monk before they start typing like they know whats up

Doesn't give that mana buff to monks.

I can not answer for Druids as I do not at one. But as a shaman all I use is heavy borean kits for my chests. I very rarely run out of mana as a resto. All I do is heal mid-fights. I have a pretty large health pool, 4k-6.5k depending on buffs. It takes a pretty dang long battle for my toons to run out of mana.
I think of the kit as an AGM. Now would you choose a trinket that offered an source of mana, that you hardly ever needed, or a souped up AGM?

it doubles your mana for hybrid class druid/paladin/monk (iirc)

I've noticed...so since we never run out of mana either way and that seems to be the only thing +250 mana to chest does, then ppl are just being dumb and wasting 14 stam to show off a large and useless mana pool.

Depends on play style/how much of a GY camping fag the player is. if im honest.

Level 24 caster has 800 mana. Exceptional Mana to chest scales to 188 mana from 250, but is increased by 400% when used on a shaman, druid, or paladin (because their non melee specs get an ability that increases mana pool size).

So with that enchant, you end up with something like 1740 mana.

However, depending on play style and class mechanics, mana might not be an issue. This makes 14 stam to chest more ideal for those classes.
