Well, Achmed, I've been there with you when you started to kick it off again after 4.0.3. Well, after all this time, after all those nights of waiting and hoping for that pop, I still like it. It isn't as fucked as everyone thinks.
You say "the Golden Age", well, I got almost oneshotted back then by Retri Paladins, atm, they still 1 shot, but atleast I've a chance, reasonable low tho, right now. Most liked it because they played against undergeared levelers. You stood against them, without them having the possibility to win.
Now, alot of players still think this way, i'm afraid. "I still should steamroll, I should still be able to pew pew just like back then", well, it ain't gonna happen. And this is why our number isn't as strong as it should be. Dedication, as I mentioned a 1000 times already by now.
There's a big class imbalance, but if there's 1 player on each class which can perform well, then I do think everyone should, since this proves the class is playable, some harder than others, but still doable. I'm not saying you'll be topping the charts. But do you have to? Isn't it about playing together in a WSG game? Isn't the general picture of bigger value than the sum of the experience of all seperate players? I do think so. It's more fun to work together and succeed this way, than to be carried and have fun every man for himself.
Never ever will perfect classbalance exist. Hunters used to be OP, still are now. Rogues used to be OP, well, used to
Retri ... And the list goes on and on and on. There are some classes balanced down right now. Classes who seem fine to me. Anyhow, I hope Achmed's post didn't scare people, because it isn't as worse as everyone is telling us in here, not on Horde side atleast. And as I remember, those are both players behind their pc trying to have fun this way...
