[EU] No serious guilds?

Nkt@EU

Legend
So I'm done with the 70 bracket, and currently heading towards the 80 bracket.

I have been hesitating with this choice for a long time, mainly for 1 reason, and that reason being that I just can't seem to find a guild I deem serious enough (I have the Guild List thread, and I check all of those guilds every now and again).

What criterias does a guild need to meet in order to be deemed serious enough by me?
  • Guild Master level 80
  • Active Guild Master (I always check the latest activity on a GM)
  • Amount of 80s outweighing any other (more 80s than 85s/70s/etc.) - I would prefer it to be ONLY 80s but that seems like a far stretch as of yet, so I'll settle with 80s outweighing any other levels.
  • A website. This is actually one of the most important parts, as it makes me feel that this guild actually cares and wants members, even more if it has bothered spending a couple bucks on a proper domain name.
  • Futuristic plans - Another important point. Plans for the future should be running progression raids in ICC25 HC and completing it every week with 80 guild members only. I call this futuristic plans because as of yet there are no such guilds on EU side(that I can find anyway). Also should be planning to do Herald of the Titans, even if it has already been done - to help new members get it.

Bonus points
  • Guild level 25
  • 20+ level 80s (Note that this is not a requirement because I am not afraid to join a new guild, as long as they have their plans in order, and can show that they are a serious guild.
  • Ventrilo server (or TeamSpeak)

I might seem very demanding, but if you think about it - these are not very far-fetched requirements, and if there are no such guilds already - then it's about time someone made one.

Point of thread? Any guilds like this out there that I have missed? Or any guilds that have any plans, building up and wanting to fit the criterias?

check out insanity on dunemaul, some gladiators, heralds, ppl who cleared the content while wotlk and best mage eu (ehehe)
<

jk, but we tryed icc 10 hc yesterday, lk on 45% and i think we will kill kim tomorrow..

Yes, the guild that looked most promising in the past was Insanity.

However what originally put me off was simply that I saw no activity from the GM in about 6 days.

A GM who is not online for 6 days in a row was enough to delay me.

Another thing was checking out random players in the guild, noticing they have not been online since November.

Just the general activity of the members is what put me off.

Other than that, does that guild have a website?

yea, some things arent perfect.. but the gm is online for raids, and we have a special "pvpleader" guildranking in the guild, this pvpleader organizes
<
we will remove some inactive player, but we have about 20 active ppl (and about 15+ play their 80s char as mainchar), e.g no guild, not even not so obselete have lk hc guildrun down, we could have it tomorrow..

the website is in work
<

e: my english isnt so good, hope u can understand it

How about you post a link to your armory, website, and tell us a bit of your current acheivements and plans for the future, Sponzorusa.

Also, how many Germans are there in Insanity?

~Not to be hating on Germans, just saying they're not really famous for their English skills ^^

And does Insanity use any voice communication in the raids? Say Ventrilo or similar?

about 4 germans (including me, but dont worry, we´re able to understand and speak (with german accent
<
) english(e.g, i play since 6 month on a english realm without any problems of communication, we will use skype or ventrilo for 25 raids and special ones like alone in the dark and herald of the titans

"(EU) No Serous Guilds"

its somewhat hard to answer, the 80 bracket itself is still somewhat hard despite what some people say, we may be able to faceroll through some content but the main issue is finding 25 people to do the content with you could take 10 arcane mage's in full cata gear and let them do 50k dps each that's good and all but if they cant follow tactics and not get one shot there useless.

this then leads too the biggest problem of the 80 bracket finding the GOOD people, unlike the 60 and 70 bracket where the mechanics are majorly out geared because of gems or simply because of talents take the 60 bracket for instance you can 5 man BWL and the 70 bracket your able to run kara with 10 people and no gear bar MH/OH not too mention gearing in these brackets is about x100 easier, then again you could grab full cata gear from dungeons which could take a few hours, this also leads onto another dilemma the guild could become divided some people may not want too use cata gear because it removes the authenticity of the raiding itself some people may only want to use cata gear and only see big numbers but then those people en toll might see the people wearing wotlk gear weighing them down and stop them from progressing in certain raids, with this happening it can cause major fights and cause alot of tension between guild members and cause the guild to break apart this is what kinda happened too Legacy.

you could set certain boundaries such as ilvl equivalent gear whilst raiding, the only problem with this is you've only made recruiting for yourself alot harder because you've just lost 50% of the bracket, or you could try guild mergers which not only me but aelo has tried previously too try and bolster the core group too increase our chances of actually raiding but this only leads to the whole dilemma of which guild will move which only leads too nothing happening because neither side will move to another realm, me on the other hand I've moved realm several times simply because I want a guild to succeed, but in most occasions I've been bitterly disappointed due to no other people putting in the effort of a transfer the bracket itself is scattered and broken because of the players nothing else.

sorry for the wall of text I'm no good with paragraphs or grammar.

yep, unfortunately alot of people advertising guilds are actually rarely on themselves. but if you check my weekly activity mines quite low as well, but I'm on every day I just don't give a crap about guild xp.

The biggest issue I see with Insanity right now is when I checked their roster, I checked the activity of the first 10 ppl.

Only 1 person (Skindread) has been online the last month.

its just, the first 10 ppl are any randoms cause the guildrooster is bugged(many ppl have 0 achie points there).. we have about 14+ active member, right now are 12 ppl online, but we dont need ppl who arent able to check the right ppl dude

I'm looking for a guild as well. Preferably one that doesn't use Cataclysm gear during raids.

I'm BiS except for belt and one trinket. Would like to raid now after collecting gear for so long. Holy/Disc/Shadow Priest.

Mind sending me a message with your armory ? Just curious.

My reforges aren't correct at the moment, 'cause I use it for both specs. And the Ruby Sanctum Heroic pieces are equipped to show off
<

Also got Nightmare Ender yesterday, so that replaces Corpse-Impaling for Holy, got a bunch of other 277 pieces in bags as well.

Transmogrified Warlock tier for the win, missing the helmet from ICC10HC though.
