That makes sense.
But to be honest, I'd much rather work with an actual team(or with a well-organized active guild). When it comes to guilds, I've worked for few in the past, but the main issue I had was that my graphics were used only on a Discord server, and MAYBE as an avatar on some forums, but never on an actual website, streaming platforms, in print, etc.
If I'm going to spend weeks, if not months, working on this, for free, I'd like to create something that will at least be used on more platforms and not only on a Discord server.
As I mentioned above, after I'm done with a logo, color palette and typography, I'd move onto creating supporting graphics, such as:
Obviously, if there's a guild that needs all of the above(and possibly more), I'd be more than happy to work with them, but I just don't see a guild needing all of that(prob. not even half of that) unless we're talking about some huge-ass guilds such as Method.
- Social media banners and avatars/profile pictures
- Streaming graphics
- Cam overlay
- Emotes
- Profile panels
- etc.
- Pattern(s)
- Print graphics
- T-shirt
- Jersey
- etc.
- Etc.
Understandable. You want to work with a team that has the infrastructure to make use of what you can offer. Two things to consider doing:
1. If your college has an esports club, get involved and see if they're interested. If not it's likely someone in the club knows someone with a team that would love the help.
2. If there is a local PC center there, head over to it and do some networking, there will be teams or team members there, especially during events.
Edit: if you are open to working with esports organizations, or streamers, and not just teams you will have many more options. A little time on Twitter or twitch and you will find someone for sure.
