Half skip for non-DH, non-Hunter players. Use it at your own risk as I don't know if this can be considered bug abuse. I call it a half skip because of two downsides - you'll have to kill an additional mob, additional boss, and walk back the same way you came in as dying will spawn you right next to the bullfrog, as you previously killed a boss that is nearby.

1) You go the same way as displayed in the video, but stop in the middle.

2) Climb up this vine as displayed in the GIF. You trick the game into thinking you fell off the dungeon path, the vine will pick you up and put you at the top, next to a mob with 7k hp.

3) Kill the mob, proceed on the path marked RED in the screenshot, kill the bat boss and a path to bullfrog will open up. After killing the bullfrog, go back via the bat boss room and make sure you jump down at the bridge, marked YELLOW in the screenshot. This is very important as jumping anywhere further than the marked spot will activate the tendrils and they will automatically pick you up. Go back via the same path you came in, reset, repeat.

Stumbled upon this while farming for Zealot Blade for my Holy spec. If there are better ways to do this, please let us know! This method lands me sub 10 min runs (8-10 mins) on a fully geared protection paladin.

Happy farming!

If you have a https://www.wowhead.com/item=97994/darkmoon-seesaw toy, you can use it to get past the barrier without having to kill the bat boss (thank Tence for that discovery -- their post is on the first page), which saves a lot of time.

You can also use https://www.wowhead.com/item=113082/precious-bloodthorn-loop to drop combat on the bats or the big mob after being grabbed by the vine. That'll save some time too.

This doesn't apply to you specifically, but being grabbed and thrown by the vine actually doesn't break stealth, so if you're a druid you don't need to kill a single thing but the frog, and you don't even need the PBL.

I did this farm on a warlock, boosted by a 60 and just ran Tence's route with the seesaw trick.

Super easy and quick. No need to complicate things to shave a couple seconds off a run. You're gonna hit the reset threshold anyway.

Somehow I missed the post, feel like a dumbass now lol. Props to Tence for discovering this! My mini-guide can act as a reference for players without the toy.

Looks like Blizzard made an update to this farm so you can't walk down into the vines anymore. They'll always catch you and spit you back up. I made a new route and a quick video with the pathing.

The good news is that it's actually faster than the old route. The bad news is that it's more dependent on being a DH now. Maybe you can Rocket Jump or Disengage to make it work, but I haven't tested it.

Edit: Gandara has confirmed that it still works for survival hunters

It is absolutely possible with a Survival Hunter, I can confirm. I farmed the shit out of RFK not too long ago. I'll repost the route guide I wrote in another thread:

"Right where the first boss is, you can disengage to the platform ahead of you in the direction of the tentacles (there is an untargettable Quilboar sitting there). Then, you want to walk until you're at the other end of the fence from the first area and Feign Death to lose aggro. This way you can yeet yourself to the tentacles close to you and if you've properly dismissed all the aggro, it will shoot you right where the kraulshaped monstrosity is. From that point onwards you just follow the regular way until you reach the bridge close to the bats. Jump to the ground and walk into Charlga, Harpoon to her and make your way to the frog. Bam. Done.

Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. Once you get used to the route, you can clear the frog, die and reset the instance within the cooldown of Aspect of the Cheetah.

It is imperative to note though that you MUST dismiss all the aggro you have before yeeting yourself to the tentacles, otherwise they will throw you back to the first boss, meaning you'll need to disengage to the platform again.

@Edit

Steps:

1. Pop Aspect of the Cheetah, jump over the tripwire and make your way to the edge of the tentacle close to the platform where lies the untargettable quilboar. You can ignore all the mobs in the process since you'll be using feign death to dismiss the aggro later.
2. Disengage into the platform.
3. Walk until you reach the other end of the blocked fence from the first area.
4. Cast Feign Death. If you have your pet up, dismiss it before using Feign Death so you don't waste time waiting for the untargettable quilboar to kill your pet.
5. Now that all aggro is gone, yeet yourself to the tentacles close to you. They will shoot you to the Kraulshaped Monstrosity.
6. Before jumping to the tentacles, summon your pet and use pet taunt on the monstrosity after you land. You can't freezing trap him and he hurts a bit.
7. Make your way through the bridge, ignoring the big ass rock dude, and continue forward until you reach the bridge close to the bats.
8. Jump to the ground following Charlga's direction, walk to the wall so you can easily Harpoon into her.
9. Walk to the frog and cast Feign Death to reset all the aggro.
10. Kill the frog. Die to whatever else to reset the instance. Repeat.

Awesome, I'm glad it works for more than just DHs. For any visual learners, it sounds like this is basically the same route as the one in the video sans harpooning :)

Everything this Enormous Bullfrog drops can be found in vanilla chests with same item stats (req 20). Sturdy chests, sometimes Silken chests. Tanaris, Winterspring are great zones for that, found 2 Gnarled Ash Staves in Tanaris as I was hanging there farming Goblin reps.
You can DL an extension of Handynotes to show loc of vanilla chests on your map, but you don't even need it once you know the 10 or so spawn points for chests (usually 3 are up at a time).

Its really easy to farm on hunter, you just harpoon to Charlga, run to the frog room and Ring/F.D.
I had to harpoon to the bat and run back since I wasn't killing myself, so was 2x Apect of Cheetah per run.
But if you're farming subbed for extra iLVL DH is probably the way to go.

Can you go into a bit more detail about this method?

it is very possible to skip the whole dungeon on any class with movement abilities/swiftness potions, i showcase video on drood here
the video starts off at this position

simply stealth/kill until you reach the first boss/elite thing and take a left onto the branch

Just wanted to revisit this & mourn.
Farmed the Bullfrog on a 29 & discovered that weapons drop at lvl 30.
The BoE blue weapon / armor scaling Blizz has programmed just shit in our souls.
