Enh Shammy and daggers?

Should I use daggers on a enh shaman? I mean they give agility (enh love agility!) and they are fast so the flametongue is used at its full potential. So why is that I never see any enh shaman with daggers?

I'd say scaled mace of gowan stats are better than wicked dagger for ench shamy.
Lava lash is weapon based and benefits more from slow weapon (tink it's not normalized).
Flemetongue damage depends on weapon speed, so you wont get much benefit from quick daggers (if get any at all).
But actually I have no idea :3

the only time enh should use a dagger

is if the dagger is in the main hand

and before acquiring x2 boa maces( the first boa mace probably should be put in off hand)

this is due to the fact that primal strike( a main hand attack) hits like a wet noodle regardless and no other non boa weapon matches wicked daggers stats.

Instant attack + slow wpn speed is gud.

Using dagger on mh is very viable for enhanc. It offers the best bonus to a support type playstyle, it increases your mana regen, increases your uptime on flurry, and allows for more reliable pushback on casters. And all that comes at the cost of slightly less burst through your mainhand white dmg, 3 less haste, and slightly lower flame tongues and primal strikes. Your damage won't be that much higher with 2x mace's.

Since were already doing some theory-crafting for dual-wielders, what about Fury Warriors? Can daggers be good for them? Are slow weapons good for them too? I love dual-wield classes they have so many possibilities. I like the fact that you can bypass the ''conventions'' with those classes and try some ridiculous combinations of weapons and get something good out of it.

Most up to date guide can be found here.

Tl;dr - Fury is less viable with dual wielding than a non-specced warrior is with a 2h.

Ill confirm

First of all HEY GUYS :D!!! I am back

Now to the point, no don't use daggers, flametongue weapon benefits the most with slower speed on weapons therefore a 2.80 speed on each hand would give around an extra 14 damage every hit ( not pvp ).

Also the maces currently give haste making them more desirable to shamans as the 4 haste all together scales to 6 with flurry procced, that along with lifeblood and the 15% base haste from flurry you reach around 26% haste with no haste but the maces.

Last point against the dagger idea is that the 2 melee attacks enh has: Lava lash and primal strike are all based on percentage of weapon damage so in the end having a dagger that does 34 dps and a mace that does 58 dps would defintely affect your biggest numbers on screen

Daggers start off at a much lower speed then maces but with the same relative haste the dagger would potentially scale down less then the mace making it faster by a minimal amount

MACES WIN IMO!
Hope this helped

I agree except for one thing. Faster weapons actually decrease uptime on flurry (very slighlty).
