Yo fresh homies, I was just duelling and talking to a guy in Goldshire, and I got the sudden urge to do some PvE. It got me thinking, which enchantsetup for weapons would be the most suitable for pve? I assume there are several, and there is no ultimate setup, but what are your thoughts? Atm I use Colossus in MH, EF in OH, and I've been using that pretty much since Unholy Weapon, so I don't know anymore.
I also got Precious' Ribbon today, after 22 runs, for everyone's information.
Congrats on ribbon, I feel your pain since I got mine after a dreadful 21!! I guess I was luckier then you. Also still good to know that it is still obtainable
For PvE enchants, although 10s might differ slightly to lvl 1s, I tend to use Titanium Weapon Chain for the hit rating Off-Hand and anything MH depending on the situation.
Enchants that you might want to use depending on the situation in Main Hand would go from:
- Colossus for longer fights
- Crusader for a heal and STR buff, EF for some fast damage before going back to Colossus
- Deathfrost to reduce spellcasting (if target is a caster)
- Dancing Steel (stacks with Crusader) for possibly dodge tanking if you are a rogue or additional damage
- Unholy for the dmg reduction
My most recent discovery (trying not to tell too many people because I love being the only one with it) is the very uncommon
Blood Draining. The enchant proc gives you a buff called
Blood Reserve. It heals for 150 for both level 1s and lvl 10s alike. The buff can stack up to 5 times, making it a 750 base heal. In addition, it can crit. I have tested it and it crit healed me for 1380 with battle fatigue. The heal itself is triggered once your health is at 35%, instantly healing for the amount of stacks you have on at the moment.
To make this enchant even more desirable, once you get your 5 stacks, the buff stays for 20 seconds and you can switch your weapons without losing the buff. Switch back 3-4 seconds before the buff runs out to refresh and switch back to what ever set-up you had.
So yehhhhh. Blood Draining guys. Enjoy I guess? Be patient though, took me 2 hours to find someone with it (rare drop from Ulduar)
