Elixir of Giant Growth Bug?

I was fooling around with mounts and stuff, and I wanted to use my giant growth elixir, but when I try to use it, the red warning comes up : "Target is too low level" but the Elixir itself says requires level 8.

Even when I made a new one right on the spot it doesn't work.

Relogging, restarting hasn't solved this for me at all, so can anyone confirm that giant growth is still usable or if you came across this problem how did you fix it? or not fix it?

tried to use mine after you posted to check. getting the same "Target is too low level"

This may be a bug, since 3 and possibly more players well-above level 20 are also experiencing a similar issue. The few players that reported this bug in that WoW forum, however, said they can still use the elixir in question, despite the "Target is too low level" warning.

It was like that on the PTR too. Also, lion's now gives 12 strength and fort gives 35 HP. That's with mixology. I'm sure it's on the list of things Blizz plan to fix eventually.

Why would this be a bug ......how long has the item been in the game .... blizzard sure has been dropping the ball on this
