Ok so my mom said i have 2 choices

1) Get a new desktop

1a) Ok so if i get one i don't want it made for gaming i would want a work one where i can also game on it if i please (WoW ) because my laptop is gettting bad for gaming i get about 8 fps on wow while standing there -_- (sad i know) so i saved up about 4 thousand over the past 5 years so i would be able to buy a great desktop

1b)So can anyone shed some like on what desktop i should get and why?

2) I want to get a new xbox 360 and T.V.

2a) I know most people will say computer but i also want a xbox 360 because i have been some high end people and i am pretty good at the game. If i got a xbox and a new T.V. and set it as my priority game i could probaly reach a MLG status (maybe)



3) Please leave comments on what i should do or what would be the best

3a) I was not trying to brag about anything

3b) Why don't i buy both? mom won't let me have to save or college and car/gas money

What xbox game is it? Personally I would go for the computer but if you really are THAT good at the game you're talking about (and you're not just kidding yourself like 99% of people do with call of duty games) then I would go for xbox and TV.

i mean if you spend 4k on a computer alone thats just retarded. just spend 1.5-2k for a computer that will last until college where you'll pretty much need to buy a laptop. and if the desktop doesnt quite last dont forget you can always just upgrade a few pieces here and there over the years vs buying a whole new comp every few years.



xbox and tv? should be able to get both of those for a thousand dollars or less...

Definitely the desktop. You need a computer, but xboxs are only fun for about 5 minutes, at least thats what I find.



Anyway college in the US is you going away to Uni and stuff right? Well chances are there will be plenty of xboxs there anyway, 3 out of 6 of us in my house have xboxs, there are just so many rolling about that you don't need one yourself anyway unless you play all day every day on xbox live.



I was lucky and got a free xbox with my phone contract but even so, I really didnt need one.

well id pick the comp for now if yours is getting shitty, then just keep an eye out for a cheap xbox off ebay/craigslist/local store/friend/etc

but get a super awesome monitor for your desktop so when you do get an xbox you can use it as a monitor for that like bwappo said in your other thread



i wouldnt spend more than 1.5k on the comp tho. and id build it yourself rather than pay the markup from a store - its cheaper and fun imo. as parts age you can replace them at will and save money in the long run b/c you will be buying a laptop for college anyways so just keep the 2.5k in the bank to save for a future laptop or a car or w/e you want





and if i was you id try to use birthday/christmas (or other holiday) gifts for parts/money to keep as much of that 4k you have in the bank. you'll appreciate having the money later if you go to college or not, just leaves you the freedom to buy whatever you want when you're older rather than "wasting" it now
