First post for me, but since BGs just opened up I've started leveling a druid to 29 (on horde side this time) and have extensive experience and almost 50 days played during vanilla and TBC on a 29 twink druid as the main FC for our fairly large twink guild on Magtheridon.
As others have said, you have plenty of utility but shouldn't really expect to be blowing up other twinks 1v1. I was specced for, and mainly focused on, flag running for WSG and node capping in AB but could still put up decent DPS and excellent survivability and utility with over 4k HPs fully buffed. You also have Abolish Poison to rid yourself of pesky Rogue poisons without wasting mana on a shift, Natures Grasp to root Warriors/Rogues/Palys, Feral Charge to for movement/root/interupt, Bash for stuns, Feline Swiftness allowing you to outrun everyone consistently, and obviously shifting for all it's benefits!
Gear-wise, I focused on stamina > int > agility/strength > spirit but these priorities could change depending on what spec you are planning on running. The BG rep rewards from WSG (ring and staff) and AB (waist, boots, and trinket) are great items but will obviously take time to earn, while the standard 29 twink rogue items (Triprunners, RHT, Razerics, etc) are good to fill in the other slots.
Overall, I thought druids at 29 were very fun to play and gear tends to be fairly cheap so you don't need a huge gold investment to make them viable!
