Druid on Offense

Hyfee

OG
Im just thinking here.. in 3.2 druids will have travel form. And they could be a viable offensive healer/crowd controller. And im wondering, my guild is in lack of a priest on offense so I'd just like to get other people's opinions about this. Thanks.

IMO no way. Any guild should be running atleast 1 priest on D meaning your roots will be dispelled and hots same. Not enough viable DPS to do much

I've never been solo'd by a druid tbh but would be fun to see. Actually I think stacking on defense and health would give you more of a chance 1v1, and using bear form looks more viable than using balance spells... anyone ever seen a Moonfire or Wrath KB? Screenshot or it didn't happen. =P

Druid/Rogue duels were fairly even pre 3.1 from my experience.

On topic, offense generally doesn't need that much healing, the healers that do go on O are usually there for other reasons. Priests are there for dispels, and Shaman are there for pretty much everything they do, shocks/purge/earthbind/tremor etc. The only really useful thing a Druid could do is Hibernate the EFC if he was seperated from his defense, but even then any good FC Druid will see it coming and avoid it.

Hibernate so the defense can catch up? Makes sense.

Yeah you're right, it's better if you just try to moonfire spam him down instead of sleeping him so you're offense can get on him. We're talking about travel form Druids here, try to think before you post next time.

How often is it that you kill an FC before debuffs anyway (premade wise)

Travel form isn't going to do anything besides allow the FC to get across field quickly.

On topic of this thread: No.

I still want to do a 5-shaman 1-priest offense. Shamans in melee-oriented gear mostly all in travel form. The damage would be insane when it needs to be and, as long as they are coordinated and know what they're doing, could lock down the de's casters.

I heard something about Shamans in Ghost Wolf not being able to be slowed beyond Normal run speed. C / D?

i read on PTR notes: ghost wolf can now be learned at level 16. While in this form, snaring effects may not bring the shaman below base normal run speed.

are hamstring, crip poison, concussive shots, pet slows/pins/nets snaring effects?

Yeah, that's what I would assume. I feel like that could be exploited pretty harshly in a strong melee set. And if they AREN'T snared, they'll be bolting around anyway.

But hold on, they're not allowed to GW inside, right?

There shouldn't be a druid on offense in the first place. Idk how many successful premading guilds you've been in, but I've played my share, and I usually play offense most of the time. So, I know what I'm talking about when it's stupid to slow the fc if he/she is running away from his/her healers/cc. This is why your offense has speed pots, so they catch up to the fc with no help if he/she is dumb enough not to run back. Have your priest and hunter stay back for cc (physic scream/wing clips).

You try to think before you post next time, because any decent fc druid, would shift so you couldn't cast it anyways.

I was actually in the CW until you guys couldn't beat anyone and decided "twinks were dead" as your cover.

Also, where did I say a Druid was good on O? Please, point it out ot me. I even said a good FC will avoid Hibernate in the same post you were responding to, so I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

The topic creator asked about Druids on O, and I gave multiple reasons why it was a bad idea, and pointed out the only useful thing I could think of. Somehow you discerned that I was advocating a Druid on offense. You can't go making stupid assumptions when you can't even comprehend what I'm saying.

That wouldn't be useful, that's the whole point of my post. You're wrong.

Dunno who your toon was in The CW, and our a team never lost a game, ever, and that a team was Dude Where's My Kudo, kek, and then The CW.
