Brown has gotten to 100% shadow resist with buffs/gear on his warrior, but he still doesn't resist 100% Shadow Damage (but still most of it). There is some sort of cap on how much you can resist, and I'm almost 100% sure that resistance does stack with buffs.

No, it does not. And maybe Brown got to 100 shadow resist, but there's no way he got to 100% shadow resist - I have doubts that 100% is even possible, due to diminishing returns.

My comment was moreso about end game. My Priest has a racial that gives it 85 shadow resist but also a shadow resistance buff that makes the racial completely useless.

I think he said it showed up at 100% but he still could not resist 100% shadow damage. This is using buffs, enchants, draenei racial, etc.

What about ret? because thats what im gearing for now. Does the 1% hit racial do any favors as far as gearing?

if ur factioning from horde you can use the 3 hit horde wrists 3 hit ally ring and boa helm for hit so not rly

Not from what I see. Getting hit capped with ret is so easy, especially with Demon Bands.
