DPS Warrior specs - LF Experienced opinions

darzk

OG
I played a 19 warr for about a month as I leveled Darzk past 19 about two years ago. Im now creating a new 19 twink with TI, and it's a warrior.

I've got a good idea for gear, for all three sets (Balance CC warr, ap warr, and FCing), but I'm having a little trouble with a DPS spec.

The specs I'm considering so far:

0/2/8 - Fing links dont work

2/8/0 - Fing links dont work2

Or the first with the two thunderclap glyphs.

Any help or experiences with either spec would be really helpful.

I would go:

2 in improved rend at least. Helps a lot, in my opinion.

After that, I'm not so sure. I think people spec into heroic strike although I've never been a fan of it ever but I've never made a 19 warrior twink, only a 39 one.

Honestly, unless someone says otherwise and why it's better, I would go:

2 in improved rend.

3 in improved thunder clap.

Then the rest in cruelty, probably.

That's if you want thunder clap.

Or 2 in improved rend.

3 in improved heroic strike.

And 2 in improved charge.

And 1 in Tactical Mastery, Cruelty, or just whatever you really want.

Improved charge will help getting enough rage for hamstring right away.

Also, I would get Glyph of Charge. I think it's a minor glyph and it gives your charge an extra five yard range which is really helpful.

I like to spam thunder clap so I usually go with 2/2 Improved Rend 3/3 Armored Teeth 2/5 Cruelty and 3/3 Improved Thunder Clap. I also use the glyph of Resonating power, so with Improved Thunder Clap and the glyph thunder clap is down to costing 11 rage. This is the spec that works best for me anyway.

If u wanna pwn hunters and rogues then spec for tactical mastery for instant disarm/shield block. I use it on my warrior and its really good.

I find hunters are rubbish up close, all you need to do is keep hamstring up and your fine, waste of talent points imo.

Shield Block doesnt cost rage its instant anyway. Disarm can be done instantly with def stance/Bloodrage macro. Id say 2/0/8 or 0/2/8 are the best all-around/dps specs by quite large margin.

Dont glyph for thunderclap imo, even if you do more DPS with it its less effective in pvp than a more utility oriented glyph

When I was playing my warrior a lot, I loved 2/3/5, and I played a lot of defensive stance(lol yes). Charge in, hamstring, and defensive stance, pop shield block and win. Revenge is your friend. My buddy had a damn near perfect warrior if you wanna check him out, Rage(alt key e) in the Twink Info guild on Medivh.

okay so..

i've been playing warrior for quite some time. I found this works best in the new format.

Imp Bloodrage 2/2

Imp Thunder 3/3

Cruelty 5/5

Thunderclaps reduced rage 30% increase and slowing effect is definitely a big difference in a warriors DPS.

5% crit is 5% crit, it doesn't get much better than that.

Imp Bloodrage is pro for stance switches and gives you just enough rage for any ability. However it can be sub'd for 2 imp rend which makes quite a difference in rend.

Glyphs should be Imp Hammie and Imp Charge.

Incite is okay but i think the talents are better off elsewhere. As a warrior you shouldn't be using heroic strike at 19 unless you are pumped full of rage.

Anything else you need i'm more than happy to assist with.

I've been getting a feel for the warrior at 18 (glyph of revenge, 0/1/8 spec atm), and I'm finding incite to be a little better than 3% crit. But thats in balanced gear, not a dps spec. I could probably see 3% crit as better than incite for dps specs, but I think its reallly close...

Opinions? +15% crit to TC + HS, or +3% crit to everything?

TC does decent dmg, doesnt cost a ton, crits for more than a melee hit, and is AoE. HS is used just about only for burst, so +15% crit when you need to burst seems pretty awesome.
