Does lifestealing do shadow damage?

Working on the idea of a spellpower rogue varient, but instead of using fiery weapon on a shadow fang I was thinking of using lifestealing, IF lifestealing is shadow damage. This will determine what my other enchants will be.

This is fairly easy to test by using a Shadow Protection Potion. As you can see, Lifestealing deals shadow damage.
