EU+US does anyone even play shaman anymore?

Meh I assume a lot of this is just trolling.

Any even semi geared rogue can pop out 4 hit and put a bullet in any shaman's ass that is geared as "glass cannon intelligence" before the shaman can do anything... heal or otherwise.

I assume this post is a joke. :p

i'm playing ele, not really happy with what they've done to resto, ele feels way more nicely balanced

hopefully people don't reroll "fotm" but i've already seen a handful of people literally make rshams after seeing me play it in prepatch

disc is still leaps and bounds ahead of rsham in terms of op, but yeah, it's op with gear, & considering how easy it is to get fang set bonus, mmmm...

resto this game would've prob been 50-0 140k dmg

nah impossible soz.

a geared shaman 1v1's a geared rogue no worries.

its all about bracket's and what skills you have available.

resto wins in this case, sad to say as i might have to roll one.

Well sure if I have no trinket and a twink rogue opens and use cobalt frag bomb, I'll die. I win verse most non-frag bomb rogue twinks though. 2 instant heals that can top me, bull rush knock down, 100% speed in ghostwolf even while snared and earthbind. Then they die from flameshock.

Oh even verse a 5 man twink premade yesterday I still topped damage. Of course I died a lot though :)

Have to agree they've gone rather overboard on Resto which is disappointing, knowing Blizz will nerf it to the ground. You mentioned the Fang set, does the bonus sets apply in bgs? Heard mixed feedback saying it does and doesn't.

Nice figures as Ele mate in that screenshot.

on prepatch release the set bonus was only working for 4/5 pieces - the 5th piece didn't give the bonus intellect
that was fixed after a handful of days, the set bonus is currently working normally

That’s why any healer worth their salt shouldn’t gear as a “glass cannon” my friend.
No decent healer should be able to be 1v1ed easily.

That is the character in discussion, that is a 100% glass cannon build... 283 intelligence at the pure cost of going low at 1700 HP (and that's even with Tauren health) and 6 versatility... any rogue out there, even semi-geared will cut though that like butter. All that chart shows that was posted was he nuked some kids in a pubstomp using the damage from 283 intelligence... it also 100% shows that there were no opposing good/geared opponents.

I'm not sure what bracket you are playing, but it is not the 29s if you think 1700HP and 6 versatility is not glass-cannon, you are dead in 2 seconds with those numbers... unless you are in a pure-ROFL-pubstomp.

I'm not saying its not impressive, but those numbers won't hold up in a "real" game, regardless if even Jesus is playing the Shaman or not.

I do fine against other twinks. Unleashed life + riptide is like 950 healing non-crit so 1700 hp isn't that bad. + I can kite for days. It's also really fun :)

I'm sure its great for duels against classes without lockouts/stuns. Any arcane mage/rogue will just lock you out and smoke you, anybody you duel or fight in a BG that does not do that is just bad or ungeared, it's not about your personal skill, THEY are just not pressing the right buttons... any mage can just lock you out press 3 buttons and kill you before you can spam any heals... it's just simple math.

And I did not say it was not fun, glass cannon is always fun... "BIG NUMBERS, EXPLOSIONS! HEALING! :LUL:!"... nobody hates that. And honestly I will probably build this as I have a failed enhancement shaman that makes me want to cry every time I look at him.

However...

It's still Glass Cannon.

Wearing green lens now, 1900 hp base.

Mage is so easy, just never cast a heal. If they kick lava burst it's gg. I can kick their missles and they pretty much have to run after eating flameshock LB. My 2 instant heals and crazy damage are enough to win. Can always run if I was locked out anyways, ghostwolf + eartbind.

Rogue, same thing. Just use instants, lavaburst (kick / blind or die) and kiting. Have bull rush verse rogues as well. Not losing against either 1v1 unless they have zerker / lust / saltwater / cobalt frag bomb.
 
Resto is really strong but I prefer ele playstyle with big earth shocks in glasscannon gear
 
Nobody in this entire thread excluded... I've played against and with most Resto/Elemental Shams... and when they get numbers like 25 kills and 75k plus damage ... they ONE HUNDRED PERCENT have a disco priest strapped to their balls healing them the ENTIRE game.

If they say otherwise just laugh at that kid and move on... cause its bullshit. Resto healing (and especially not Elemental) does not save you from any competent DPS that gets on your face with any kind of interrupt.
