Dodge/Parry Fury Warrior??

It's a neat idea, but the lose of little damage we get would not be beneficial.

You should keep the eyepatch imo, stacking some defensive stats is one thing, taking 4sta over 8 of the best secondary stat for fury is another.

Looking at your chardev, I'd replace the tanking shoulders with the pvp ones. We are looking at 1.34% parry chance vs 2.57% overall damage reduction, it's not even close.

Then I'd replace the WSG pvp sword with the heirloom pvp one (Battleworn Thrash Blade) for the extra 3 resi aka 1.53% damage reduction.

Last, replace the 4str/4agi/2sta WSG ring with the SFK 5str/3sta one.

PS. Make it a nelf for the nature ressistance, it's VERY POWERFUL, saying it from shaman PoV :)

If you are going for the Tank model, you're probably better off playing a Tank Spec instead of trying to plug it on Fury.

Also, since the de-facto nerf of Warrior/Paladin Dodge at low-levels by removing the influence of Agility, I don't see one getting the high Dodge % that made it all 'worthwile', also because Dodge is highly positional dependant.

For example, my 10 P2P Warrior stacked Agility like many did at the time (e.g. Beastmastery Questline + Wingblade ftw) for the Crit and her Dodge was on top of my head (can't Armory her, and that account is also Frozen) 25% or so, making it a factor in her survivability.

In contrast, at one time my Protadin at 19 (currently 28 ) had the Satchel belt and Cloak and 'the usual' Agility - and only (again, on top of my head) about 12% dodge, making it pretty useless already.

Now, Dodge chances are even lower.

Parry & Block stacking I can see working to an extend, but Dodge on Mail Tanks...no.

Also, what kind of meta are you gearing for? The most dangerous attacks in this bracket are IMO generally either ranged or Stealthed from the back, so I really don't see why you think this might be a good idea.

You are not going for "tank mode" you are just taking parry/dodge over crit. We are talking about 7 dodge and 3sta over 7crit and 1str on chest and 9 dodge over 9 crit from satchel cloak/belt. Thats pretty much it about said dodge/parry fury. Oh and 3 resi and 0.8 dps over 4str 2 sta on the OH weapon choice.

3rd EDIT: Btw now that I think about it, the WSG sword might be overall better than the heirloom one. It really comes down to a) does the extra attack from proc give rage? b) how much healing are you recieving (for sta vs resi comparison)

Getting 5 dodge for an addition ~1.3% chance to dodge in addition to your already 25% dodge or getting 1.3% in addition to your 7% dodge is the same thing. OK it's ot the same if it's 1.3% in both cases, but it's not cause of DR. 5 dodge rating gives you the same survival benefit whether you are a prot specced and tank geared or fury specced and mostly dps geared.

Overall it really frustrates me when you people think a stat becomes worthy only if its stacked. "If I stack crit and make a bunch of inferior gear choices but get my crit % real high I feel like I got a lot of crit, so crit is good on my gear" but "If I make a balanced gear set, taking the overall best gear and end up with low % to crit but overall better stats I don't feel the crit on my gear so crit isnt that good". NO YOU ARE WRONG. 3 CRIT IS 3 CRIT WHETHER YOU ALREADY HAVE 25% CRIT OR 6% CRIT. SAME FOR ALL STATS.

[/rant]

EDIT: actually the less crit and more ap/sp you got on the rest of your gear, the more valuable crit rating becomes. The same applies for most stats. The less you have if it on the rest of your gear, the more valuable point for point it is.

2nd EDIT: On topic, as Tinkerton very correctly noted, the most dangerous attacks in this bracket are unavoidable, so dodge/parry ain't very valuable at all. For survival go for STA and RESIL.

4th EDIT(lol): Prot sounds like a terrible idea. You don't have a snare, but a 3sec silence on 1m CD. That is also 50% chance to happen. You will be absolutely worthless when compared to a prot pala that has a STUN on a lower CD lol... But if you really insist on trying prot, go for sword and board for shield slam. It actually hits hard and dispells 1 buff on every hit.
