Alternatively you can play vs any decent mage, moonkin, prot warrior, ret paladin, etcetc and lose by default.

You're right about mages, only if they're well geared. I have seen ray of frost channel for ridiculous damage, and maybe Priest aswell if they're well geared. Besides that, I entirely disagree about melee.
