Did anyone have any luck clearing banked XP from the prepatch?

It's been sixty days since the prepatch and vets being treated as starters. I relogged my toon with banked XP hoping that the welcome back boost would fix it, but it's all still there.

Did anyone have any luck getting theirs cleared from back then (and thus I should hope to try again and get a different GM), or should I write the character off as lost next time my account gets some time?

I haven't try it yet, only can quote what was the answer from Blz overmind.
After digging deep into your case and after reaching out to a higher management to seek a satisfied resolution it couldn't be processed. Please make sure to not to add game time if you don't wanna level up, or don't log in that character when there is active game time. I know this not something you were holding on to know but despite my disability in fixing such situation, your understanding is well appreciated.

Not logging the character during active gametime is going to be hard when free weekends drop by surprise. I can appreciate the front line GMs, but still frustrating.

The silver lining is that they seem to have fixed the bug where F2Ps can't unlock our XP without needing to put in a ticket. I'll just have to hope that being stuck with XP locked will be a good defense against surprise time, and that if I feel compelled to PvP it won't come at an unlucky time.

Wait what when? I had to check it asap.
Okay here is my pointless rogue and .. Wowowow it'd da working now, as it was intended! (For 20vets too).

Well this totally changes the things - now we can stay locked as long as we need and then unlock for bg or skirmish tour.
I think the problem is solved then - unless they break xp-gain again, ofc.
Maby thanks for the clue, i never heard it was fixed and it should be stated in big RED LETTERS
