If you refer to the actual Demonical Plans that starts the first quest its a drop from the searing infernals and stuff in south-eastern ashenvale

those exclamation marks on that map you see are in fact where the mobs are that drop it



it's a fairly high drop rate so just kill a bunch of demons and loot them til it drops

can someone explain to me how to get to the place where you get the Seeker's spear?

i have circled all around it and cannot get up there, is there a portal or something?

haha there's just a very steep little road up, look closely at the walls and you'll find it

FOR DIATHORUS THE SEEKER: These two guys are hard as heck to find. When you into the general area, head southwest. You'll notice when you get back to the monument to Grom Hellscream that there's a path lit by some demonic lanterns on the eastern side of the open area. Follow it all the way to the top. There will be an area to kill a bunch of demons and as you make your way through them, there is a large, house-looking structure with steps in front. Inside of the house is a network of tunnels much like any other house with an underground network of tunnels. It is hard to explain where he is within this network, but if you are familiar with the structure it should be easy. He is not in any cubby where a ramp stretches over an open expanse to the other side of the wall. On your map, there are two or three circular areas. He's near the middle. He's at the end of a ramp that slants downward and is tucked back into a "cave" at the end of the ramp. This is similar to a quest in the night elf starting zone, with a quest mob at the end. If anything, now you know his general location.

there's a narrow ramp on your right if you follow the path leading in and stick to the right the entire time

i did this quest yesterday and that path is a pain in the ass to find if you don't know what you're looking for >.<

I found it pretty easily. You're in sort of a canyon. One boss: 1/3 of the way in, there's a path uphill to the left. Other path/boss: there's a ramp on the right-hand side of the canyon about 30 yards from the end. Ramp runs parallel to the canyon itself continuing forward toward the end of the canyon. (A couple 80s randomly questing randomly invited me, too, so I got one boss for free!)
