EU+US DH viable over balance druid?

I was wondering if demon hunters are viable over balance druids for soloing dungeons. Since I don't feel like leveling a new character from scratch and I was wondering what average clear times will be between DH en Balance druid at about the same iLvl.

What I mean is, if a DH and a druid both have 860 iLvl, who would have a faster clear time while soloing legion dungeons?

Viable? Yes of course.
For a druid youll get your moneys worth.
Itll perform better than any demon hunter and do more dps at the same ilvl.
Demon hunter is slower and does less dps, but is cheaper. Plus its quicker to level and gear a demon hunter over a druid.
Druid > DH

The main issue here is not the class, but the dungeon (assuming you're doing full clear, killing each boss). Since we're limited to specific dungeons, all of which have mechanics or limitations on how fast you can progress through them, I'd say either class will do just fine. Every dungeon has at least one boss you cannot bypass, most have multiple, and some dungeons have pesky mobs (like DHT's owls) that can seriously ruin your fun if not killed quickly.

If this was open world farming I'd pick druid for the free unlimited ranged attack.

I would say DH is better actually. There is way less build up for rotation. DH can move way faster as well if you stack enough mastery.
I have had several 840+ ilvl druid have a hard time keeping up with my 829ilvl Havoc DH. https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/arathor/emeli
Dotting everything up as a Balance and running from one boss to the next ... you can't do it like that as a DH. Leech Healing with Dots is the key. A 102 Havoc has Bloodlet and that's it.
