Destro Warlock BG Montage

I finally got around to making my first montage video. I went with my Destro Warlock, I love playing the spec. The footage might not be edited the best, I recorded the games and edited them while taking care of my 10 week old son over a few days, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

The gameplay might be somewhat average but I'm not a pro, I think I'm decent enough though. Some Levelers and Twinks were nuked in the process of recording these clips :PagChomp::KEKW:

And when I make my next video I may shell out the $ to get the watermark removed. If anyone else whose made a montage has any tips or ways to improve feel free to let me know.

I hope you all enjoy!!

Hey,
It dose take a bit of courage to put yourself out there by making a video so props to you for having a go!

Iam not really qualified to critique as I am noob at this too, having said that my experiences are still fresh and there is probably some tips I could suggest from what I have learned.

There are plenty of free programs that allow you to make videos without the water mark, I can’t remember what I used for my first video but there is a lot to choose from. I used Filmora for my second and it wasn’t until I went to export that I realized about the water mark so I suspect the same thing happened to you, by that stage I had put to much work into it to change.

If you don’t want to use full screen mode to play you can zoom when you edit to get rid of the window mode edges, I would also try to mix up the gameplay. The same thing over and over in short clips is not great to watch, try to mix up with shorter and longer bursts.

Music is not great, ok for the intro but then I would try something that match’s the speed of the gameplay. You can also speed up or slow down clips to fade in and out with the music, sometimes it doesn’t need to be much and is not noticeable. Also dose not hurt to speed up a long fight that is obviously sped up or it can be boring.

It’s all learning and making a good video is harder than people realize, I may be slow but I have easily spent on average about 12hours + just editing and adding in the non gameplay stuff.

All in all not a horrible effort, I watched it once but wouldn’t watch it again.

Keen to see how you improve your next! The more content we have the better.

Good luck and most importantly have fun :)

Hey there, I definitely appreciate the feedback. I agree with alot of what you said. It does get boring watching the same thing over and over again, and I kind of realized that when it was too far to go back. I actually had another 3-4 BG's worth of footage to go through, I'm happy I decided not to.

As far as the music goes, I agree for sure, I love the music but some parts of the songs didn't fit like I would've liked. I'm not going to lie, I did rush that part a bit.

Even though there were some mistakes made, I had a blast editing it. I may go ahead and purchase the full version of that program, luckily Father's Day and my Birthday are coming up and no one knows what to get me

Again I appreciate the feedback and tips you gave. I'll definitely be applying them when I get around to making my next video.
