Demon Hunter or Guardian Druid for 20 Twink?

Unsubbed doesn't really matter, it just req more work on your part to get all the chants/gems. But it's mostly doable.
Top tier right now is hunter. Prot Pally is probably the best tank, if you wanted to play a tank class. Everything is playable for the most part.

Druid is always a solid choice for an unsubbed account. Its just that tank specs take an extra 50% dmg in pvp. So guardian doesnt really confer any advantages and actually ends up being less tanky than resto. People are just attracted to it because you spec brambles, enchant ele force and then just rumble around in mid being useless and putting up huge fluff dmg numbers.

But when you get tired of that, you still have a solid stam set and can go resto and FC. Or you can build a caster set and play balance, which is really quite good. Or you can play feral which is really scary and yet, for some reason, still largely ignored by people at 20.

If you go with a DH, you either get vengeance (same issues as all tanks) with a bit more terrain hopping fun or havoc which is pretty strong versus certain classes but near as good as you want it to be.

Of the two? Roll the druid.
 
Unless something has changed since the last time I looked ... Brambles (talent) no longer procs ele force or satyr enchants.

It did proc it in BFA.

guardian still is crazy for dot spreading in BGs.

Damn, entirely possible I haven't played guar, just admired from a far.

but it’s no longer a selling point of guardian.
 
Damn maybe I should just stick with my hunter who I already have a decent start on with blue and purple gear rolling through the legion quest lines.
 
Eff it ima going Druid anyway. Like the man said above if I grow tired of mundaneness of bear I can always go the other three. I forgot all about how much I enjoy the tankyness of resto too.
 
ranged only WW monk using that channeled lightning bolt and chi blast talent, become a legend friend.
 
guardian druid is a fun meme, ask @Chey.
you can build a talasite set for PvE, & an AGI set for PvP.
the talasite set can double as a resto druid FC set for PvP, granted you swap weapon to INT.
the AGI set can double as a PvP set for feral (which is a lot of fun, i hear)

Vengeance DH is also an FC spec. would need a talasite set for FCing & some AGI pieces to mix in with the talasite set for a havoc set.

On a pack of mindless melee, maybe. Against anyone who bothers to spread out, no.

OP, roll a druid. But not for guardian, for boomkin / feral. Or continue with your hunter. People say a lot of shit about hunters, but there is a world of difference between hunters who don't know how to play and hunters who do (I don't, am learning, I know where I want to be from streams of superb hunters and it's absolutely going to take me a while to get even half as good). The class is deep.
