Defias Vs. Deviate Belt

OK after reading the new Spidersilk Cloak thread I kind of have and answer here, but the Defias belt is greatly overlooked. 18 AP and 60 Armor (considering it would be paired with Defias Chest) is nothing to scoff at. Now before I used this in my blow up set. Of course this is before I could realistically get hit capped (hate using pots, sorry, I just do).

18 AP and 60 armor Vs. 5 AP 60 hp some dodge and crit and 3 hit. Considering I am looking into retiring the good 'ol Sentry cloak that I have worn since Twink day 1, I think I have answered my own question, but I wanted to still throw it out there for debate.

Hit rating is the best dps stat there is. You also have limited access to it. Go ahead and give it a whirl if you're interested but I'm pretty sure you'll see better results with Deviate Scale Belt.

how could 18 AP and 60 armor ever even come close to comparing to 5 AP 60 hp some dodge and crit and 3 hit. unless you're going for straight up AP build then 18 ap is blown away by all those other stats, mainly the hit.

and armor should never be a huge factor...big deal man, 60ac less, whats that like .005 melee mitigation? idk maybe im just jaded since ive played a warrior too long *dps spec* where we frequently wear mail/leather to increase dps (even on my moonkin too, ive never been below wearing cloth to min/max dps

Defias is actually overlooked. 3 words Ambush Dagger set. Where one could throw on other hit gear which can make up for hit loss.



for example a good stealth set might include the following.



Wranglers wristbands of power + (agil or stam)

Subterratean cape + 3 agil/spider cape.

simple pearl ring/bronze band of force, Legionaires band

boots of power + 5 agil

defias belt

defias chest + 4 stats or fang armor + 4 stats

fang legs

fang gloves + 15 agil

mh assa blade/scouts + 5 damage oh cruel barb+ 15 agil

An Ambush Set isn't viable for any competitive wsg/arena!

And the one you suggested looks like random crap gear, and nothing close to the "best" possible Ambush gear, which still is bad for competitive twinking.





Anyway, Defias Belt is bad and should only be used for max-AP show off gear.

I think the defias belt is good for a ambush set, but I prefer deviate scale belt.

I have the Defias belt on my hunter for my secondary pure AP set used in premades and/or areas where I have great healing support. Although overlooked, I still prefer the Deviate Scale belt mainly for the added hit and HP.

Your completely wrong. It only looks like crap because you havnt taken the time to check them out and add things up. Ambush set is viable
