Defensive Frost Mage

Hey guys, my role for my guild's pre-made team is a D frost mage. Now I have heard a lot of different ideas about how I should gear. Also, we are running a 4 man kiting defense. Some people say I should stack stam and int like an oldschool CC mage, but others say the CC mage is dead and I need to gear for SP too and deal out some decent dmg.

Any thoughts? An armory link to someone who plays a 19 D frost would be great.

I don't think any body is CC Mage anymore besides camo - I think you would need to stack int and stam like an oldschool cc Mage. Frostbolt-nova-polymorphing on D will need some mana but need survivability also... I don't play Mage as you know

<3

Yep cause we haven't gone over this before or anything...anybody that HASN'T already given their 2 cents and possibly idk...plays a mage?!?!(or knows about them unlike little johny over here) have any ideas?

Stack as much stamina as possible and use haste to gloves.

Kenyan boi, I would take pizza's advice

Well as long as you agree with it, then... :p

And in addition to Pizza's response, I'd say take Sorcerer's belt for the haste since you already have weather-beaten which gives a plethora of health.

Edit: The Sorcerer's cloak might be worthwhile as well. Weather-beaten more then covers for the 9 stamina lost, and in exchange you get 9 haste. /shrug

-gloves are spell cause i use them for diff things, haven't decided to change them over yet. pretty sure that's the max stam u can have besides weather beaten plus, it gives u over 1600 mana. also imo, i think when it comes to it and weather beaten is obtained with this gear that haste to gloves and sorcerer's cloak and belt are the way to go for more haste, i will see.

Love the vocab

So in that case, should I run furlbog pouch and a 1h with 22 int over boa staff with 22 int? is 5 stam>46 sp in this situation?

I suck at writing on this forum...Quote fail.

I would personally recommend using the BoA staff along with one of the hit wands to achieve hit cap and 6 bonus resilience, at the cost of 60 health. But I haven't even played in ever so may not know what I'm talking about.

This is correct, hit staff is the way to go

Problem: I have the pve BOA Staff...any one know how much the other 1 costs? and is the pve BOA still better than 1 1h and furlbog?

if you don't have the pvp BOA staff you'd probably be better off with a 1hander and furblog.
