Debating on leveling my 70 twink DK (Cataclysm)

Hey everyone, I have a question that im struggling with internally. I have a level 70 twink death knight I made during WotLK Classic, and demolished level 80's during the time. I spent way too much gold, and lots of my time min-maxxing the absolute hell out of him. So i have some gear i worked mad hard for, and it shows whenever someone inspects me and knows the twinking game and compliments me. But alas, now its Cataclysm, and everyones 85, so everything is useless and twinking is pretty much dead. Engineering changed so now i have less utility anyways, and some reworks to my abilities, and lack of branching to different trees to get some things i needed, like lichborne to heal myself with death coil for example.

The issue im having with is I really want to play 85 Blood DK in some juicy PvP but I cannot for the life of me bring myself to level this man. I have taken videos of all my gear/things, and have duel videos from back then. Just feels like I'm stuck with leveling up and destroying all my hard work and time. I have my friend who says level him since i want to PvP so bad, but everyone who has seen him says "bro don't hes insane" or something along those lines and leave him as a time capsule. Obviously this isn't retail, and not back during OG Cataclysm, where making a time capsule works because expansions lasted 2-3+ years. And since i can only make one DK im kinda screwed.

With the exposition out of the way, question is, since this is a community of twinkers, do i level my boi? I know rationally I should, hes useless now, but I think i need opinions from guys like you.

I wouldn't build a twink again without having a community. If done well, it's a lot of work and you end up all alone. This game is largely based on interacting with other people . . . so find a group and a bracket or activity (e.g. running raids) and then build a character.

I would leave the old DK alone. It's easy to build a new DK since the class is known to start at level 55. You can craft and wear account items right from the start and I estimate you'll get from level 55 to level 70 in less than 8 hours. This will be less time than it took you to equip your old DK, I think.

Level a toon to 55 on a dead realm or boost an 80. Make a dk on that dead server you can free xfer from and free xfer it from there to the server you want it on along with the boosted 80 or 55. Don’t level twinks .

Just wanted to say thank you, i have totally forgotten about that workaround as it's been so long since i've needed to remember it. Thankfully for some reason I had some toons on locked servers, so I can get a free transfer, leveling to 55 now to make my DK and transfer him over. I appreciate it man!
