good stuff, I don't usually listen to this kind of music, but it's hard to avoid when there are great bands like Isis/If these trees could talk/Russian Circles around. I'll admit they fit better into the post rock category though

ya that's their best song. ITTCT is ok. Signal Tree is another good one from them

have to say I find 'if the trees could talk' somewhat boring, it's like you say, they only have like 2-3 songs that stand out

not heard much of the others you referred to, but I checked them out, and god is an astronaut/pg.lost definitely come out on top, I'll look into what's left when I grow bored of the two previously mentioned bands.



as far as favorite bands go, I can't really keep favorites, I enjoy all types of music. that said, I don't consider rap/pop/country to be music, which makes the whole illusion of diversity thing (in regards of musical taste) a whole lot easier
