EU+US Current state of the classes?

Well I decided I want to make a new 19,
came back to WoW and I miss mine.

I'm not looking for the most OP, was just curious what the class overview is like right now?

Kinda leaning towards something like an Affliction Warlock I think.

Affiliction Warlock. Interesting choice. They are currently doing really well, having some of the best damage in the bracket Idd say.

Dots are all fine, some healers dispel UA and get crit for 4k all fun. Haunt(gonna be your talent) hits for around 1k. So you're doing really good. Use the void walker to get rogues out of stealth with a spammable ability your pet has.

With around 4-4.2k HP and drain life haling you for 300-350 per tick you are really good on the survival part as well.

So what about the other classes? Warlock sounds fun, but I'm just curious. :)

Other very strong classes include: Outlaw Rogue, Surv/BM Hunter, Arms Warrior, Disc Priest, Resto Sham, Ret Pally. These classes are probably the most played too atm. For FC'ing - Druids and WW monks are very strong.

How about: Ele Shaman, Enh Shaman, Fire Mage, and Frost Mage?

And just because I'm curious, what's Holy Priest up to since they've like never been decent lol.

Ele/Enh damage is just not up to par with the stronger classes. Enh is a pretty good support, since they have instant healing surges after building up maelstrom. Mages in general are meh, imo. Fire seems pretty good but it relies on getting crits. Holy priests are pretty good healers, but they lack Power Word Shield. It wouldn't make much sense to play holy unless in a raid situation and even then, the ability to Power Word Shield is much better.

That's surprising, I figured with Ele getting all those totems that maybe it'd buff them up a bit.
Enhance isn't too surprising, logged into my F2P enhance and saw I had like four skills total and knew that wasn't good news, lol.

Most classes are fine to play. Some specs however aren't. Prot pally at 19 is just bad. Fire and arcane mages are OK and fun. Frost lacks punch but cc is good. Ele is playable not as bad as ppl say. Not the best for sure. Did I say prot pallys were bad yet? Everything right now is fun to play for the most part. Changes are expected due to disc being strong. So they may be changing a lot more. We will see when legion rolls out. Twinking right now is up in the air in that respect. It's popular now but what's bis today will be something else Tomorrow. Expect changes.

All classes perform pretty well at the moment. Arcane and Fire are both playable and do plenty of damage in battlegrounds. Frost hasn't changed much since last expansion as far as its place in the game(more arena oriented with its amount of control)

The only specific specs I've seen that truly underperform are Enhance and Elemental.

Aww :( I've always had a weird love for Enhance.
Is there any specific class you would recommend that wouldn't be underpowered, but the bracket also needs more of?

Good.
It was such a shitshow when their shield could crit for 80-99% of your health, and was like a guaranteed crit.
