EU Current 29 Activity

So I was minding my own business when I saw like literally 10+ 29s twinks just outside of Orgrimmar, dueling etc. This was surprising as I hardly see that many 19s around on a casual basis, let alone 29s. And it's Thursday.

Therefore, I thought I should give my 29 a go seeing that there's quite a bit of activity going on in this bracket. Long story short - I ended up spending 30+ mins in que before giving up.

Now, I just want to clarify whether this was caused due to a) unlucky que; b) ally is overflowing with heals, hence the 30min c) those people I saw were just dueling/passing time/whatever? The latter would atleast explain this situation, however it would also imply that this bracket is pretty much dead for anyone looking to do instanced pvp.

But you wouldn't say it's dead? People in this bracket don't just duel out of boredom, but also que for bgs?

Lu_woo, the twinks you saw last night were spreading the word about moving to Nostalrius/Elysium, the fresh vanilla private server. Also many vets saying the last duck you to the retail game.

The bracket & game at 20-29 is broken, you'll wait 20+ mins for a game against a team of alliance sv hunters and disc priests.

The bracket is not dead, just full of fotm & games are not enjoyable.

Having said that, I imagine it will die once the Nostalrius/Elysium server goes live.

I will still play my 20 shammy now and again to see whose still around on retail but everyone you saw last night is moving.

I remember the times when I was playing on private servers and was really eager to switch to retail (due to lack of people, hence no bgs/raids etc) once I have enough money. Couple of years later, once I made the switch, this happens in the twink community, where each member counts..

On the other hand, I did manage to get some decent 5min pops yesterday evening, but I guess I'll mainly have to stick with 19s

I haven't played retail for a month, but I agree with this; both regarding the state of 20-29 and that Nost is the place to be. It applies to 19s as well (as far as I'm concerned).

Surv is absolutely disgusting and basically can't be countered by any class, which is insane. I'm tired of playing – and financing – a game where the developers clearly don't give a jack shit about low lvl pvp. Previous expansions you could at least counter broken specs with getting the best gear/enchants, but that's not even the case anymore… Give Nost a try!

One exception to all this, is that Balance Druids are kinda fun to play atm in this bracket (they're OP as hell dmg wise, too).

Given those circumstances, that might be a good idea (I'm pretty much in the same situation myself). I doubt queue times on Nost are much worse than on retail 20-29 tho since it's very populated, but not too sure. In the end it's your choice, and playing a decent class (Balance Druid for instance) can be fun on retail.

as for activity:
Minimal.
Mainly due to reasons as class unbalance and too big of a bg pool for such low level.
