Cruel Barb Prot Pally

Iv seen a lot of posts regarding 19 paladins and im sorry to create a new one but this has a little bit of a different topic. Would a cruel barb with crusader offer the best dps to be MH with a shield such as RedBearded Crest. It has high dps but also has the +ap. In my personal opinion it seems to look better than a shadowfang but please everyone share your thoughts.

butcher slicer SP = 60% of STR

That doesnt mean Butcher is BiS for dps, They both have the same damage but Cruel Barb is also .1 faster giveing it .6 more DPS, yes you get 60% SP from your strength. Butcher has 4 strength giveing it 8 AP and 2.4 SP for a prot pally, and Barb has 12 AP, So theres a 4 AP difference there. From my understanding Seal of righteousness does damage based on your AP, and your AP increases your weapon damage which increases your Crusader strike damage, which most of your damage will be coming from these two spells right here (along with avengers shield) so over all I would say for DPS go with the barb, but BiS Balanced wep would be butcher. As for enchant I'd personaly go with Crusader, but you can't go wrong with 15 strength either. So thats your call.

Stamina has become a more important stat post patch, even for DPS, so imo butcher's slicer wins out, if you are human with 2 AGMs and you are comfortable with your survivability then you can consider the slight dps increase of cruel barb.

I have been doubting whether Bs might be better but I think I prefer Cb. Just over 15oo hp usually is enough I find.

Very true, it's not the smartest idea to run around in pure DPS gear anymore.

I'd go with BS too, though its more of personal preference than proven to be the best
