Critique my first attempt at twinking! 49 Enhance Shaman.

Howdy,

I have done my best to come up with a solid twink build for the 49 brackets.

A couple of things to note: I am trying to find one more constitution libram. I'm also constantly on the look out for Executioner's Cleaver.

Any of you experts mind taking a look and seeing how much better I can make it from both a gear and a talent spec point of view?

I have 2 accounts and can farm anything that a pre raid BIS rogue or hunter and druid can farm.

Nice gear selection. I personally like Rockgrip Gauntlets and Atal'ai Breastplate over your current choices

Rockgrip gauntlets & fleetfoot greaves are both big upgrades gear wise. And like tonybones said, the atal'ai chest would be better but it can be a bitch to farm for a perfect one. GL on getting that executioners cleaver too, that'll be a nice upgrade over kangs.

Talent wise take 5 points out of toughness and put 3 in improved lightning shield and 2 in guardian totems to reduce CD on grounding totem. Then take 5 points out of anticipation and put them in either convection or concussion in the elemental tree. Or maybe put those last 5 in improved healing wave depending on your play style.

kang is nice and flashy but if u want bigger crits try out the Soulkeeper staff its slower and has a higher base damage resulting in larger crits and would prob 1 shot plate twinks with a juicy WF proc. its pretty cheap still at least on my server around 15- 30g

Thanks a bunch for the replies. I’ll start farming Landslide and Houndmaster asap and the AH for the staff.

Also appreciate the spec info. I’ll give them a try.

Not sure how I’ll go about farming ST.

Maybe take my Twink in and let him die in the center of the circle then kill the mini bosses with my rogue or hunter? Hopefully the Twink will be in range to loot.

Any thoughts on how best to Farm it? After farming for the fungal tunic and head piece, I’m not crazy about killing tons of packs of mobs to get to each mini boss if I can help it!

I kinda cheat tho cuz I play two accounts so I can clear my way to whichever boss with the 60 Druid and 60 rogue/hunter then log the Twink in and let it chill there for the boss kill.

As a shaman it’s helpful cuz i can use him to throw some heals on tough bosses. I’m excited to see if I can figure out a way to Farm ST!

I got two as well, but hunter/rogue so no heals. And therefore no rezzez if I screw up.

edit- im really disliking brackets without a mount, it's so awful trying to make up for the levelers when you have to run.

(almost as awful as twinks forming premades just to beat them... )

You can at least kill some of the mini bosses by just letting your twink hug the wall in the starting room and using masterloot on main. That’s how I farmed most of the gear for my 49 warr (with 60 mage, also have two accounts)

My mage is pretty much pre raid bis, nothing hard to get. I solo princess, the downstairs boss in ST, bosses in BRD, basically every zf boss (that’s needed).

In short: yep
