Could I get banned?

Soo. Recently I came back to WoW and a long time friend tossed me a few thousand gold to fix profs, get a new twink rolling, and all the whatnot. After I got things rolling and having tons of fun, I decided that I would gift him a TCG pet since he was really close to hitting the next tier of the pet achievements.,

Today I logged into my battle.net during study hall to manage auctions and was told that my account was locked due to suspicious activity - I've sold TCG before without any trouble. Could I be getting banned for giving a friend the ingame TCG code?

I've been told that so long as a scam doesn't happen its generally very minor if anything. I also have a perfect record \ no black marks on the record for the seven years my account has been active.

Input?
Would I automatically receive a perma ban if I was to get one, or would I get the three hour vacation first?

Thanks a bundle,
-Rhythm

Yeah. I reset my password and there wasn't anything in my email.

My account has gotten locked 2x in the last 2 weeks when I try to post on the forums from a different location (work, home, Starbucks, etc.). I just think Blizzard is trying to minimize restorations by trying to lock accounts when IPs are different than usual. I have no proof of this but I also know my computer isn't compromised or anything...I'm just speculating.

@ inkohbah

That would make sense in my case, too. I did not receive notification that my account was locked until I logged in at school; I was coming hoe form a doctors appointment and got home early so I logged in to fish a little. Was literally twenty minutes before I was told it was locked.

If you log into battle.net doesn't it say if it's suspended and for how long? The email should say as well, check your spam folder.

No. I just changed my password and then I was able to log in all hunkey dorey.
I was also able to manage my auctions + buy a race change for my hunter.

The only email I got was one confirming the payment, and one confirming the password change.

So, if it's not suspended now - it won't be, most likely?

Blizzard locking your account "due to suspicious activity" usually implies that someone may be trying to access your account and they've locked it so that they can't hack you. Not that they're going to suspend or ban you.
