So he's apparently the BEST CARRY IN TEH GAME now according to Mr. Elementz. Who's wiling to make bets that all the sheep will now play him and cause him to be nerfed into oblivion once again.
So Corki went from Tier 3 to Tier 1, mostly because his R got buffed. For those that don't know, his rockets now scale with 20% AD. But as someone else points out on the forums:
An (extremely) insignificant Valkyrie change and a small missile buff. If you're unaware, it now scales 20% from AD. In an average game, end-game, a correctly built Corki will have ~300 AD, translating into 60 bonus damage (120 for "Big One"). After application of magic resist (Corki will likely have nothing beyond the 15%(?) penetration provided from the mastery), it comes out to be a lot less; definitely not even nearly game-changing. People saw that Corki received buffs; they bought him, they learned him, and they're good with him. \
But on his site we have Elementz saying: 700 damage Big One Rocket of zomg I can’t believe Corki’s R is so **** good now
Really? It's tier lists such as these that cause so much melodrama and FOTM talk. It is this kind of stuff that greatly contributes to the incessant buffing and nerfing of classes over and over again. This is why Ezreal is such trash now. It's why Mundo was nerfed to hell. As well as Pantheon. Once popular opinion is locked in on a particular view on a champion, that view will not change, forcing Riot to nerf them appropriately, even if there really isn't anything wrong with the champion to begin with.
It's just amazing how powerful a champion's reputation and our perception of how good/weak they are can affect gameplay.
I was actually saying to a few people that I was saving up to buy him. But after this revelation, I'll probably be skipping out on that now. For some reason, playing "Tier 1" toons makes me feel a bit dirty inside, or at the very least a blind sheep.

While this tier list helped me as I was first introduced to LoL in learning team comps/champion roles/etc, now I see just how damaging it can be to the community at large. Honestly, I wouldn't mind it one bit if Riot came back on their decision and outlawed tier lists once more on the forums. Especially from people on the Council, who can use this pedestal for personal gain and to drastically affect gameplay at all levels just because of one person's opinion on champion viability.
What do you guys think?
