Conor McGoat Answers Back

The dude's a total prick. But he walks the walk. For the mean-time anyway.

Greatest of all time? Eh. Really fucking good? Hell yeah.

Greatest of all time? Eh. Really ducking good? Hell yeah.

No one has looked as good as Conor has in their respective division (running through the 45lb division like it was nothing, then knocking out one of the best pound for pound mma fighters of all time in Jose Aldo in 13 seconds of the first round) Then, he comes up to 170, and beats the bigger man in a rematch, after gassing at the end of the second round. Who else does that? You could maybe argue BJ Penn, but even BJ didn't look as good when he was in his prime.

I can't argue with you there. The man is an absolute monster.

Guess I'm an Anderson Silva fan that thinks he is the best. :p

In terms of dominance, Anderson Silva's reign over MW with his occasional forays into LHW were more dominant. Then again, McGregor's attitude really rubs me the wrong way, so maybe I'm biased.

But technically, sure. In terms of dominance, Anderson Silva is definitely up there for most dominant mma fighter of all time. Him and Fedor both. Maybe that one Gracie (the one who featured in the documentary "Choke") who went like 300-0 before Pride was a thing, too.

All that said, I was drunk when I posted this thread. It's still obviously too early to tell where Conor will ultimately go with his career, however promising it might look right now, there's still things that need to be proven. But yeah, anyone who goes up two weight classes to fight, and to fight the way he did, says a lot about him as a fighter and a person. People doubted him from the very beginning, and then after he lost to Nate in the first fight. But he continues to persevere and prove people wrong. If that isn't inspiration, then I don't know what is. End of rambling.

Rickson didn't just go 300-0, he collected 300 arms along the way.

Kinda embarrassing he almost lost towards the end of the fight. He knocked diaz twice. It blows my mind the fight went the distance and that one judge gave the fight a tie.

Embarrassing for who? Conor somehow hung in there after gassing late into the second round. He put on a masterful performance, and showed tremendous heart that no one thought he had.

I thought the match should have at least been a tie but Diaz's loss makes for a much more interesting and believable third match and more $$$ and hype for UFC, so it all makes sense. Feels like WWE up in here!

Connor is nowhere near the Goat. Anderson Silva in his prime was 10000000000000 times better than MCshitor he just didn't have the crowd appeal that cocky bitch does.
