Concerns regarding Twink Cup + Gearing

must really suck being a legionite now gear actually matters!!!

You can get pretty close with instance gear I would imagine since it scales. Certain classes have great sets instances. BoEs can be picked up too if the AH. And of course BG crates. No reason a Legion Twink can’t be well geared. Or even a BfA Twink for that matter. It really is very dependent on your class and how you want to stat stack. I gave up a few of my titanforged Invasion items because it better suited my overall gear set.

End game RBGs and 19 twink WSG aren't really comparable at all, in my opinion.

They are not. That’s why is wasn’t a phenomenal feat beating them.
They are bragging about beating a team at something they don’t normally play by playing something that is all they play.
It kind of reminds of the saying when a woman challenges you to a fight you should always politely decline.
Because if you win you are the man that beat a woman and if you lose you are the man that got beat by a woman.

Not to say you're wrong or anything but I don't think anyone was bragging about beating <Mood>, if anything people were saying positive things about them in terms of "new and upcoming". Unless I missed something? Or were you referring to GSC beating the end game team? In that case I didn't see what was said.

I have no involvement with the organization of this years twink cup, nor am I any more knowledgable to whether or not there will be a twink cup this year. However, if there was to be one this year i'd imagine that the rulesets used in previous twink cups will be used as a guideline into creating them for this years event. In previous years, all of the gear / enchant allowances and restrictions had been covered to create balance where possible whilst still allowing room for customization so i'd hope that if the event goes ahead this year that it will follow suit and be tuned to the meta in its most current form in this new expansion.
