Coming back from a long abscence (vet)

Hello,

I've been a player off an on for around 10 years now, and twinking most of that time. I'm not an amazing player by any measure but I am a good team player and an objective minded person. I wanted to come back to paying for wow so that I could set up my twinks for permanent vet status. However all of the realms I was a part of with twinking communities have all dried up long time ago. I was looking for a friendly group of twink lovers to join on another server. Where would be a good place? Also, 19 bracket or lvl 20 bracket? 20 seems way more fun from what I can see so far.

I'm a hybrid player at heart, I love druids, shamans, palies, and now monks! I primarily play healers and support roles.

Cheers,

Hardtimes

Are you a competitive player? Because 19s is a far better place for that but you'll need to have a subscription. 20-29 is quanity>quality

The whole point of vet and f2p is to play without a subscription.

Also, being in the 20-29 bracket can be a hell of a lot of fun. Even coming up against godlike 29's, it just is really fun in this bracket. If you don't get too frustrated at some ridiculous situations, you'll be fine :)

Aerie Peak is definitely the most active. The only reason a few of my characters aren't there is because I like to World PvP on PvP servers while waiting for queues. Blackwing Lair Horde has a few active twinks. It isn't a mass community like Aerie Peak Horde though.

who would I talk to? and what guild? might as well get in at lvl 1 so I can be honored with guild by the time I hit 19-20

You can just show up, we trials use the F2Paddon which allows us to communicate. It's basically a server wide guild. I only know of one veteran guild on horde side so far, We Made Kale AFK. Easiest route is to install the addon and ding level 3 to be able to talk. You can ask for a ginvite in the channel.

do realise that veterans cannot stay in the 19 bracket. even if you have xp turned off before, once your sub expires it will be turned on again. bgs give xp so you will be 20 eventually

I think 19s needs the numbers more get a sub and play there the games are more competitive than 20-29

No, don't listen to these 19 promoters. 19 had it's day in the sun, and it's just not good enough for casual players like us who don't like constant subscriptions.

20-29 bracket is far better for someone in your situation, where you just want to play a bit of warcraft every now and then without investing constant monthly subscriptions, and still be relatively competitive.

19's were fun back in the day. But 20-29 is just better overall for casual fun when you want it.

competitive I dont mind, what I realized was that I like to play regularly during the day eastern time, and 19s doesnt pop till the afternoon. so 20s makes sense for me. Also name is Barrelroll on Aerie Peak, whats the guild name of the vet guild?

Cheers,

I haven't joined it yet. But it is "We made Kale afk" on horde. alliance is something like "f2p alliance". if you just search "20" in the "who" tab (short cut 'o' ) then search by guild, it should show a few members of either of those guilds you can whisper for invites.

The bracket 10-19 is a good one, but so is 20-29.

In 20-29, games are frequent. We have amazing people here that make the tournaments possible.

Witch makes this an amazing bracket!

Its fun and competitive sometimes.

Not to be a hater, but the only thing that kills this bracket is the level difference of 9 levels.

Witch means lots of abilities for them, and not for us.

If Guard could be dispelled and Ferals couldn't 1shot. This bracket would be r1.

20 to 29 is defiantly the place to be. This is coming from a seasoned 19. 19s talk about competition but 9/10 games 6 days a week are complete trash, Friday night is usually the only time you're going to get better games than 20 to 29.
