My GPA was so low in highschool I graduated by one grade. I'm not sure I'm willing to equate intelligence with GPA. Some people think better out in the world than sitting in a class room, which isn't to say GPA indicates nothing because that's not true, I suppose it's good for indicating short term memory cuz unless your post grad and doing research everything you get is from reading, right?

Some people do not test well. Much research has went into this. Even some ethnic groups have claimed that testing is "discriminatory" because their particular ethnic group continuely scores lower on tests. But do well on classroom exercises. Go figure.... Maybe they did not study.
I can assure you all that a higher GPA will help you, if you score lower on a ACT. A low GPA is also is a good indication of lack commitment to learning. Why would a Univerisity accept someone who is not commited to learning or one that will not give them something in return(sports).
High School GPAs do not matter all that much when looking for employment. However, college GPA will. This is just one of the ways how employers cull prospects from the herd.

Right, there's no denying that college is helpful for success later in life. Then again the difference between success and intelligence is pretty huge. I'm not referencing curley btw, this post just got me thinking a little.

GPA has nothing to do with how smart someone is, it's all about work ethic. All the answers are right there in your textbook in bold lettering, but will you open the shit up and find the right answer or guess and get it wrong.

Even the dumbest people can get a 4.0 if they have the work ethic.
