I really like using tellmewhen (used it in retaiil and I am glad it is supported for Classic). You can design it to give you visual/audio clues in many circumstances.
I occasionally keep running across more addons that I like using (up to 35 addons... YIKES!) (finally picked up decursive and the battleground targets mod).
I am looking for some mods that do the following (hope someone can help):

I am looking for some mods that do the following (hope someone can help):
- Display the FC/EFC name up top (DBM PvP used to do that, I have it downloaded but it doesn't display - maybe I need to configure it somehow?)
- Move Anything - I don't see it supported in Classic. Is there a similar functioning mod that will allow you to move things around your screen (e.g., move where your debuffs show). I don't want a heavyweight mod - prefer something just focused for this
- Enemy Plate Bar - I'm using... uhmm... I think Neat Plates? It shows enemy bars in red, though I would prefer it show enemy bars as their class colour. Maybe it can and I need to configure it properly, but if it can't, is there an alternative addon?
- Recently, I see people shout out EFC health %... looks very useful. Which mod is that?

Quartz - Cast bar (your own) - there are probably better and smoother addons for this but it has been around for long
Nova World Buffs - keeps track on what layer you are and when world buffs will come

I've been using Shadowed Unitframes which has this feature. You can only see the FC's when they're within range for targeting however, so I'm definitely gonna be trying that Weakaura Anexa posted above when I get home!
To answer OP's question, I'm a massive addon addict and feel like I can't play the game with the standard UI, but those who spring to mind that I absolutely can't play without are:
Shadowed UnitFrames
Dominos
Auto stand/dismount
Quartz
Weakaura (such a powerhouse of an addon!)
Neatplates (or other nameplate addon that can display buffs/debuffs, been thinking about checking out Platter)
Itemrack
Does anyone know of an addon that can add class colours and possibly names to the Battlemap in BG's?

@everyone Any of you who know me know that I made a fortunes worth of wow gold hosting in-game casinos. Over the span of about a month I turned 600 gold into over 26k which I then turned around and sold for well over $1000. This was done through an addon that a friend of mine had made that is not open source or downloadable anywhere on the internet. The addon tracks all trades you make and keeps a log of what was traded in and what was traded out, which is what enables you to handle multiple betters simultaneously without being overwhelmed. It also announces the amount people bet and prompts the person in your party to make their call. I am going to be selling the addon as I have no further use for it as I don't really play wow much anymore and could use some extra money for yugioh cards lol. With the addon I will also explain the game, the odds, my strategies for setting max bets i would accept, as well as answer your questions and provide my personal macros i used to make such a successful gold farming operation. Move Anything was literally an addon developed for Classic back in the day, because you had no way of moving around your UI as you do on today's retail.
There is 100% a version on either:
Twitch/Curse (App)
WowAce (Webpage - has library of old addons for any expansion and patch)
CurseForge (Webpage)

Just because there is a Vanilla version doesn't mean it works on Classic. They're not the same game.

It also doesn't mean that it won't work. I guarantee there's a version out there that works, or just needs 1 line of code changed at most. The addon isn't overly complex.
Pretty sure I had a working version on my desktop PC, because I know I moved stuff around.

Pretty likely that it doesn't to be honest. It's more likely (very likely actually) that the current BFA one works than some old version.

Leatrix Plus is a must-have imo, it has so many features so it's too much to cover. Here is some of them...
Manage frames. Click on the cogwheel and you can move your player portrait and target and change it's size etc.
Auto sell junk and auto repair when interacting with a vendor NPC
Auto invite by people typing "inv" in whisper
Class colours in chat, increased chat history and recent chat history
Search box in inventory (which highlights what you're looking for - like retail)

- Disable loot warnings - The pop-up box that ask if you really want to loot a soulbound item, like https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19805/keefers-angelfish - Of course you do!
- Faster loot - its some delay on looting in vanilla wow, this feature makes the looting normal)
- Auto quest - Accept and returns (good when turning in STV fishing tournament fishes - make sure to disable afterwards tho, doesn't even require reload)
