Chest Enchant (Healer) - Information.

EXCEPT PRIESTS

Hey, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew what their options were. It has become apparent to me that very few people know about the 100 mana chest enchant and it's "bugged" effect. So let me demonstrate.

There's currently two competing enchants for a healer on chest
Enchant Chest - Major Mana
&
Enchant Chest - Major Spirit

Due to Spiritual Insight(called other on other classes) the fact that you increase your mana poll by 100, means this enchant now gives an astounding 500 mana. But is it good enough to rival the 15 spirit and its regeneration?

Well - I'm here to tell you that I believe it mostly is. Here's the calculations that I've done - and the conclusions I've driven there off. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :).

15 spirit on chest gives a combat mana regen of 8.5 MP5, meaning it gives 1.7 mana per second.

If we're going to see how long it takes for 15 spirit to catch up to the 500 mana from the +100 mana (With spiritual insight) it would take

500/1.7 mana = 294.11 seconds. That in minutes is 4 minutes and 54 seconds. So roughly 5 minutes.

So if what ever fight you are in lasts longer than 5 minutes then 15 spirit out weights the +100 mana chest enchant (Assuming you never hit your maximum mana - and therefore stop regenerating.).

Hope this have given people knowledge and maybe something to think about!

Best regards,
Silvey

All three priest specs use mana so they have no passive +400% mana that I am aware of!

Also;

Being an alchemist - my potion grants me 340 mana. Somehow in the game this translates into 1700 mana. It appears it takes a 400% bonus on top of your mana. 340x 4 + 340. = 1700 mana bonus.

I started with 3300 mana - Took on +100 mana chest.
Then I had 3800 mana. I popped on a Draenic Wisdom potion, and then I gained 1700 mana
putting me at 5500 mana.

Quite an amazing transformation.

Considering how long fights last at 50, it is so much more worth while to have this chant and the potion instead of stacking spirit. Priest heals are all about big crits and overall high heals. However most of the classes that benefit from this "buff" tend to be classes with either HoTs or just alternate moves than spamming big heals, lets take druids for example with all this they have no real need for spirit due to the fact that with suck a large mana heal they could probably heal for around 4 minutes flat just spamming so overall the most beneficial stat for them would be spellpower if they use this "buff".
