i am working on a cc 19 mage

if anyone cares or has the time to post some tips and tricks that would be great!
 
In what regard? Gear/spec/spell timing/target priority? Be more specific. I'm bored enough to write up a huge post about anything.
 
Missed a great opportunity if ertai said said he would have done this. Pretty much the best premade mage in the us for a long while

Would you mind writing that Post on the thing that you have listed?



Gear for Premades (Full stam I assume?)



Specs (Best for Pugs/Best for Premades)

3 Frost Bite, 4 Imp Frost Bolt, 3 Permafrost?

2 Frost Bite, 5 Imp Frost Bolt, 3 Permafrost?

3 Frost Bite, 5 Imp Frost Bolt, 2 Permafrost?

Any other variants?



Spell Timing (assuming planning out your GCD with spell cast times?) - Would you mind explaining this in more detail and what combinations are best?



Target Priority (Assuming Priest would be first target due to dispelling rendering your CC less effective) - After that what?



Anything else you can give tips on? (Such as certain places of LoS to utilize, How to set up a Defence and its placement, Routes, etc.)

If your making a guide I would wait until this next patch comes out, as it will define pvp for the next year and a half or so.



Seems like a waste of time to put effort into something that is obsolete in under 2 months.

sheep order

Priest, other mages, lock/warrior, shaman, paladin/rogue, druid while casting a heal. you can use sheep followed by a quick fireblast or another instant cast spell to interupt spell casting. use r1 frost bolt a lot and spec 3/3 into permafrost. One of the best glyphs is the glyph of polymorph to remove DoT effects (make sure your target gets sheeped). Frost nova when you can hit more than 1 target. You should work on your duels with warriors, rogues and pallies.



Wand Macro-"swing timer" doesn't reset if you hit more than once.

Cat is just around the corner.....and it is gonna be so radically different for us mages. Whatever you write will most definetely become obsolete. I doubt we will even use FB in Cat while playing D!!



@OP Just realize that you are useless alone. Just assist with whoever you are with towards their goal.

You greatly underestimate just how bored I am. Plus I've wanted to do it for a long time now and never got around to it and want to do it, if even just for posterity.



I can always edit it when Cata comes out.

Dunno who we're facing in this game, maybe Ertai can say. Kinda looks like DTBTS.



Pay special attention at around 19:15. Who says CC mages can't dps?



Ertai I'm still waiting for you to make a real video out of this. It's a very good video of how a functional Defense should work, IMO. I don't know of many other videos showing the D aspect.

I'd make a video out of it if only it had a good Druid, Shaman or Hunter on D with me as well. I mean I guess I could title it "how to carry" but it just wouldn't be the same.
