Cataclysmic Warlock Viability?

OG
After the announcements from blizzcon today, I built a chardev profile and looked over a few things. Right now we all know in the 29 bracket warlocks are VIABLE, but they just get blown up to easily. I looked at multiple gear items, and found that with the spellpower being converted and gained from int. we can stack eagle gear or blue gear with better stats of stamina and intellect than eagle gear and have more hp and mana.(while mainting or slightly losing or gaining SP depending on the conversion of 1 int = ?SP.) I have also found due to racials that as of this moment a gnome warlock has a 5% damage increase in cataclysm due to the 5% increase to intellect. I came out with on my latest build with around 1.7k hp, 180 int, and 2.9k mana. Anyone see this as being the knew way to go with caster classes and feel this might finally make us as powerful if not more powerful than melee in the lower brackets? Post comments or leave ideas to help expand upon this for mages, warlocks, priests, etc.

Too early to tell, we don't have any actual statistics to base our finds off of.

Still. This looks like it will be viable if 1 int= 1.5-2SP. If it equals 1SP then its going to somewhat mess up spellpower in which case it will be hopefully buffed. Just have to wait and see.

better buff for mages imo as locks wanted more stam, mages needed intel too

we will see how it turns out

If 1 int equals 1.5 spwr I'm going to shit a chicken. I'll have well over 200 spwr at 29 along with a massive mana pool and 1600 hp.

its still hard to make up really. we have no clue how blizz wil distribute its points from spell power holding items yet, and what items they will define as healer or dmg item. I would wait a bit to see if mmo-champ can get its hands on some new items. till then theory crafting is really somewhat pointless imo....

Not exactly, just looking at a couple profiles from some 80s on the forums you can get an idea of the conversion assuming you want character to either gain or retain the same amount of spell pwr.

I dont think its going to be over 1.0 since it would increase the average casters spd by over 1000 at 80. so I think it will be around the .7 range most likely.
