All Wotlk capped accounts just got upgraded to Cataclysm.

I last played 2 days ago and had up to wrath of the lich in expansions. I logged on just now and it said i can upgrade to mop but i never upgraded to cata. I know for a fact i didnt because i was thing about upgrading to cata last week but decided to wait until i had a character high enough to go there. So whats up did they upgrade me by accident or is there some special thing going on

Indeed! The basic box of World of Warcraft now includes all expansions up to and including Cataclysm. If you're looking to get a friend caught up they'd only need to purchase World of Warcraft and Mists of Pandaria to have all available game content.

Expect longer queues for 80s, shorter for 85s (in a few weeks for 85s).

how it was in 80-84 bracket, several classes were able to near full MOP. you had players with 40-70K HP in WOTLK gear hit 80 and face players with 150-300K HP.

85-89 ques were shorter than 80-84 bracket before CATA was made free. imo 85-89 will get even larger with this change

as for 80-84, i quested 100 quests in deepholm today (XP off) and never got a BG

when you ding your queue resets or something.. maby it gets useless im not shure what it does but i do know that if you ding while in queue it fuck's up... badly
