1 armor for the plate helm....That sucks. Blizzard was allowed to to this because we did not already have level 1 helmets. The fact that we already have leggings in game will guarantee Blizzard have to give us decent armor to match or exceed what is already in game so no 2 armor on the plate legings. I can't wait to see what they do with the plate leggings. Hopefully they introduce it soon and not next year. At the rate Blizzard is going it probably will be 2015 before we get a BOA for every slot like they promised.

whats guild level? what would happen if i dont buy cataclysm would my level 1 shaman be able to heal still?
 
guilds gain xp now and have their own separate set of achievements ... to get the new boa stuff, you have to be in a guild that does stuff regularly to build XP ... so lvl 1 twink guilds are gonna be tougher to do



although, once you leave the guild, you still retain the stuff, so maybe talk one of the higher progressed guilds on your server to invite you once they reach lvl10 for the back and lvl20 for the head ... you buy it, then leave? (if your main is in a weak guild that is)



and no, you won't be able to heal. the changes to classes (and even continents) is for everyone regardless of what expansion you've bought up to
 
My level 1 is pretty impressive so plenty of people talk to me because they are impressed I got explorer title on a level 1. Maybe I can talk one of them into letting my level 1 joinn their guild so I can get BOAs.
 
It's boA just have your 80 in a level 20+ guild :p get it and mail to your level 1. My 80s guild will most likely get one of my realm firsts to 25. So im set lol
 
Aren't the BOA's based on rep with the guild your in, so if you leave that guild you lose the BOA's because you no longer have the required rep?
 
@pogibija - eventually all guilds will get there ... but from what i've participated in on beta ... the leveling process is slow and will take awhile for most people



@detroit - no, they're BoA ... they changed them staying/disappearing when you dropped guild awhile back saying that it would penalize people for wanting to switch guilds
 
this is wrong raging berserkers is defffffffff not leather it would be mail or plate. but if its leather raging berserker helm + red cape + tabard of flame FTW
 
I don't like raiding and I don't like being in a guild. I like soloing things. I can never be on at a set time and I don't like the pressure required to "perform on demand". A lot of times when I have committed to a instance I end up having to log off because something comes up. I have wife, a kid, a bad internet connection and a crazy work schedule. This is why I do alternate play like twinking. If something comes up, I can just turn it off without disappointing anyone. This is Blizzard trying to incentive more people into guild play. I personally would like to see them go the opposite way - a sweet set of gear for twinks based on a series of solo challenges or something. I also don't like sucking up to people to get them to run me. I know I won't get my way but really - this is annoying to me.



While I would like to have these helmets chances are unless this guild grind turns out to be a fairly easy I will probably just be seen sporting my Ruby Shades. This goes for the cape too - other than sweet looks the +8 armor is really nothing that great.

While I agree with your playstyle and respect your reasons there are alot of friendly social guilds out there that would happily have you in their guild even if its just to pick up the BoA's



Try not to view this BoA thing in just a negative light, Blizz are trying to break this PuG raid/ninja nightmare and bring guilds back together, if they have to make BoA's guild only to get people to join and participate in guilds thats fine with me.



Also most people twink (I know I do) because blizzard literally does give us nothing, It's all about thinking outside the box and finding items/achivements to get and do that we were never suppose to do at level 1, If blizzard ever started to create level 1 twink specific items and starts giving us quests and crap thats the day I stop twinking.



PS. Post Isn't aimed at anyone specificly, just something I've been meaning to get off my chest after seeing a few "why doesn't blizz give twinks stuff" posts :p.

Fair enough but I still think they should at least unlock fishing for the poor lil' L1 twink.

it's mail .. but like other boa mail gear it's listed at leather until the lvl req. is met for wearing mail armor
