Caster ring question

With 20 shadow spell power on gloves and 40 shadow power on my weapon, my actual spellpower is higher than the link you gave me. Sadly the armory doesn't show it.
So basically I'm running more hp, more haste, more spellpower, more crit.

Any viable builds out there?

I would certainly hope so. Since you are just concentrating on shadow power and I linked a disc priest set. If you went with goggles and mechbuilders you could get even more.

-5 haste

Is what I come up to if I replace BoA helm and chest with goggles and mechbuilder's overalls. (This includes 9 crit from skinning). Good for glass cannon spellpower, but not my style.

After looking his armory yet again , spell power on gloves n bracer an soul frost vs crit stacking. If u crit stack u crit stack there no balance set. Go hard with crit or go home.


Glass canon set vs balance IMO.


Glass canon - Engineering googles and mech overalls boa cloak pvp power


Balance set (stam/int) - all ud really swap is boa chest with heavy borean armor kit , boa helm and charged eagle rings.


Difference between set you have a pocket healer vs no pocket healer.

No reason to change all your gear for 5-6% crit just bring a hunter in ur party with wolf pet. 5% crit party buff. What wsg group u ever get into with no hunter? Lol

Seriously go intellect build.. Playstyle plays a part in most classes except Spriest only think u should decided on playstyle is surefooted for hit & crit or stam/minor speed on boots.


Professions - Alch and engineering

You may also want to look into getting into a good guild in EU . Gsc is very active.

So according to your logic, you're better off losing 5% crit from your own gear, and compensating it with a hunter pet?
You realise every % of crit becomes more valuable the closer you get to 100 right?
Going from 20 to 25% is a 5/80 improvement, which is actually 6.25% more crit than before. Going from 25 to 30 (the same 5%) will increase the chance by 5/75, which is actually 6.67% more crit than before. (Example, if you were at 90% and added the "same" 5% it would mean a 50% more crit chance increase). As far as shadow priests go, aiming relevant haste breakpoints will gimp you too much at this level, since gear with haste is limited.

Now that that's cleared up, running a crit build doesn't necessarily mean I'm going glass-cannon gimping all-out crit. There would be no sense in attaining 1-2 more crit rating vs 20 spellpower for example.

the difference from your build vs a glass canon build -

devout hammer + witch finger ( 6 int enchant offhand) = 18 int , 49 spell power

dignified staff - 9 int , 48 spell power

both weapons have soul frost (not counting soulfrost)

on ur set up u lose out on 1 spell power and 9 intellect, which is 10 spell power


helm tattered dread mist 8 int

spellpower googles extreme 18 int - another 10 spell power loss


tattered chest - chest 8int

mech overalls - 11 int - 3 int gained

rings - dread pirate / y.boons - 4 int
charged gear of int - 18 intellect

herb / skinning - 0 int
alch / engneering - 8 + 10 (googles ) , 3 ( mech) = 21 int


Your devouring plague is your intellect x 13.1% spell power every 1 sec for 6 secs
Your mind blast is also spell power x %
Pvp power on your cloak increase % off your damage, another reason to stack intellect /spell power

hotshots + 2 int
acidic +2
another eye of the best +7
greater inscription of discipline +5 spell power

My build vs Your build is 68 intellect + 6 spell power = 74 spell power loss on your build

(wowhead wont give me the right exact numbers currently)


lastly you play in the 20-24 bracket vs f2p with bearly 2k health your non crits will 1 shot 70% of the bracket + you play a faceroll class.

The f2p's with "bearly" lawl spelling, 2k health aren't any issue at all, and it's not them I'm stacking crit for. They are dirt under a shadow priests shoes.

And then some random shit about how much devouring plague increases from spelldamage, and later you take away lifeblood for 8 int? REALLY??
You know valuable those 2-3 extra ticks are?
