cant apply sockets to a ring

any idea why i cant apply [Magnificent Jeweler's Setting] to a [Stitchflesh's Misplaced Signet] which is ilvl 30? was there a hotfix or something?

If you just got farmed these rings, then yes sometime after the 4th of March blizzard changed the M+ Dungeon rotation, which was why the setting worked for these rings

You’ll have to farm a ring from the available dungeons in the new M+ rotation

M+ rotation means dungeons that are currently available to be ran in M+
The rings you are talking about could be socketed when they were one of the current M+ dungeons.
But with S2 having started, the dungeon they drop from is no longer a M+ dungeon, thus, the sockets can no longer be applied.

If you have grandfathered rings, you just haven’t put the sockets on yet. You can still do it. I confirmed it today.

season 2 has started so TOP is the one ya need to farm for now

i ran TOP, got 2 of the 4 rings available, they were ilvl 24 for my level 10 which was good news. this 10 did the SL skip which borked the ilvl for NW rings.

i ran motherlode 6 times to the first boss for that ring, i only got bracers which were ilvl 24 so when the ring drops that should be socketible too

Guessing you're Blue team... fly over to the Echo Isles & take the boat. you can land on the rudder & not get clapped by security.

If a ring procs a socket, you may only apply one https://www.wowhead.com/item=213777/magnificent-jewelers-setting for the same total of 2 sockets.
