Can we not let 19s die plz

They/Them
It's kind of getting redundant every year with 19s going inactive after Summer. We always hop on something like 39s or 20s which really splits half the community. I think the 39s are great and I will be playing but lets assign days for it and days for 19s. I like the idea of having those big wargames every week or even doing a mini Christmas twink cup. We have created a massive amount of interest from advertising the Twink Cup and I know loads of new people creating 19s. Lets not all **** off and let this die like it does every year.

Couldn't agree more. In the months leading up to the TC, 19s have become revitalized and are in an amazing state to carry on and grow from here.
Obviously, the prize, the title and the epeen was a huge driving force; and assuredly, many recently active members of the community will scurry back to their mains or whatever niche occupied their time before the lead up to the Cup. I don't think anyone has fooled themselves into thinking that level of activity was sustainable for the long term; particularly once the summer has ended and a large chunk of the bracket finds itself back in school. However, it doesn't seem unfathomable that 19s will persevere as it does time and time again.

With that being said, there remains a potential for 19s to fizzle out as well. One of the factors, as Agonist touched on, is the migration to other brackets as seen in previous years. 20-29 to a certain degree, but seeing as how that bracket thrives at any hour, day or month, it's impact is negligible. The main culprit last year, and potentially this year again, is 39s. Let me start by saying that this is not meant as a snub to said bracket's organizers or community members (a good number of those being 19s as well). However, it seems that similarly to last summer, 39s will ride the coattails of 19s success/activity, dividing the community and ultimately negating the momentum created in the past months. What I can recall from last year's revival was that the week had it's designated nights for 39s, which 19s did briefly still get games on but they were of a *** awful quality with long queues; that shifted into 19s not getting pops on those days at all; then longer queues during the rest of the week; and finally, culminating in 19s ceasing to pop without a truly organized effort. Then the kicker, 39s die out and neither bracket is active.

Let's not let things repeat themselves. That's all I'm saying (although the wall of text above says otherwise). I think the bracket is in a better state than the situation I detailed about last year; no xpac, no huge game changing patch, and the TC was a overwhelming success this year and only in it's infancy last year. I do truly hope those of you that love your 39s will indeed get pops and have the chance to play your dusty twinks... just not at the expense of 19s.

I agree 100%, at this moment we have an incredible chance to keep this bracket alive year round. We'd be fools to ruin that.

i have faith in vanillamilk to keep 19s going no matter what with his daily wargames even though im pretty sure pugs will still be a thing

What time should we start queuing everyday? My gf and I are itching for some pugs.

This. I don't want 39s to divide the community, and I don't want it to negatively impact 19s. You guys have worked your tails off to make 19s what it is. It seems that having scheduled days for each bracket is the clear answer. I don't know if some days are better for 19s than others, but let us know if that is the case and hopefully we can avoid stepping on toes.

That being said... 19s have been going hard in prep for the twink cup, I think it is only natural that you guys might see a dip in activity now. Please don't point fingers at 39s and blame us for it. I understand that given the history, those that solely do 19s are wary, but given that we are starting off with one day a week, it isn't going to be our fault if people just want a break from 19s. We aren't out to cause problems here, we just want a chance to play ><. If we leave more than enough room for 19s (and again, please work with us here) and they still peter out for a bit, I don't think it's fair to raise torches and pitchforks and be out for blood.

Anyways, not trying to be a downer here, just want to coexist. If I can help 19s in any way, let me know.

I'm sure there are some 19s that feel similar to how I do but coming from someone who queued day in and day out all throughout MoP, you kind of get burnt out from the bracket (PuGs). It's nice that the bracket is active but the reality is that the quality of PuGs are absolute garbage. It's not like mid-late MoP when you would get a few games a night where it was almost only good players and a really intense game.

I never thought this time would come for me but it really has.

My guild and I won't let it die! I will assure you that. We have a lot of active members. We will do whatever it takes :)

The time has come for RBGs.

Although, I'm really hoping the weekly premades and plebmades continue.

Why play 100s? keep queueing 19s *****.

Because after 3 years of playing the same bracket day in and day out you get burnt out from it especially when competition in PuGs is practically nonexistant compared to back in MoP.

39s are the cure
